Foreword

This is what was going to be the lore for Team Solari's entry for the Industrial Revolution contest, but we never got around to doing it. Here is the lore that we were to base the build after, written by me and CrafterBoy327. Hope you enjoy it.

As Steve flew above the clouds, the wind flowing through his hair, he looked down from his perch atop Reyeka, a dragon who joined the traveler. Below him lie a rocky and lifeless island.
Peaks of mountains touched the sky, and the few trees were somehow alive, and abundant. Circling the peaks were dragons, torching any creature that came near their
nests. Reyeka, the dragon, landed on a cliff in front of a dark cave. A giant creature lumbered out of the blackness and looked upon the human. He spoke in a deep
voice, one word seemed to take a century.
"Reyeka, why have you brought this creature to our island? Humans only bring war and destruction wherever they go. And so, it will follow him to break apart this island."
Steve looked up at the elder dragon and spoke of his journeys to other dimensions, high up in the clouds, and down in dark caves.
"You are a great being, and so I shall not burn you where you stand. But, you are banished to the other side of this island, to live out your days," the elder said in return.The obedient traveler did as was ordered. Reyeka stayed by his side, a loyal companion in such an ostracizing setting. However, loneliness filled the hearts of the two, and so the traveler erected massive mechanisms to keep him company. These monstrous bulks of steel were speechless, and did as Steve told them, much like a dog, only a sense of equality was lacking: a sense of friendship. Lamenting over the elder's words of his people, Steve conjoured up the idea that he could teach the dragons a lesson. Delineating his plan to Reyeka was no difficult task, and the benign creature eventually agreed to assist Steve in constructing his unfathomable ambitions. Thus, a revolution was born. The metallic hunks of bolts began harvesting materials; this would be used to construct a factory palace and create a megabot. The island eventually became sickly, the air bitter and lacking. Reyeka fell ill. Determined to finish his dream, the senseless man refused to diverge on what was already in construction. A foot, head, and even an entire leg had already been engendered by the revolution; however, the air only got worse. Reyeka pleaded Steve to cease his industrialization, however he was blind. He stated, " Only the most delicate of objects can retract one's ways." After hearing this, Reyeka ordered a robot to hold out a rose to Steve. The addled man refused to accept this, and the robot remained there and night; Reyeka died in the following months. Steve continued his construction, now his hair grayed. "War is what you say we are full of, but your words do not include the results of war. Ultimate power is achieved and balance erupts under the leader." The mad man screamed to the heavens. "I have conquered the nether, creating a huge trading plant! I have taken over the elven city of Galadriel! I will show you!" Many years passed and construction still had not stopped. The air around the floor was now a sickly grey color, the dragon's bones rotting and breaking. Many dragons fell at the dark fumes. Steve himself felt weary. The old man took his final resting place by his old companion's bones. When he finally realized the necessity of peace, he closed his eyes, and died, his head facing the rose held by the rust coated robot. "Only the most delicate of objects can retract one's ways." echoed within his head. He died by the two most delicate objects on the island: a rose and a small dragon. The man found peace within his heart once more.

The robots finished the elderly man's dreams twenty three years after he died. They shut down immediately. The island never saw life again.
