shaded skins

Hey! In this blog I'm gonna talk about shaded skins.

Me personally I HATE super shaded skins. (This may offend skin makers) When I see a super shaded skin I think 'Dude what were you thinking! It looks amazing but its way too shaded!'
I know alot of people may disagree with me but I know people feel the same way I do.

A little shade isn't bad because it makes it look better but please realise if you are making a skin that it has to go with the minecraft default texture. Okay so if you mention that you will need a certain resource pack to make it look good thats alright but
Highly, Ridiculously shaded skins don't go well with the normal texture!

Shaded skins take hours to make, and it's to make the skin look amazing, and its not supposed to go with the game texture- its supposed to pop, and make a great look. Otherwise, its was an okay-ish argument. ill give you a diamond.

I really don't think it's a good idea to have used two skins from somebody as an example of what you hate, this blog serves absolutely no purpose other than to hate on a certain type of skin, we all have personal preferences but it would be much nicer if you pointed out what skins you do enjoy rather than what you don't enjoy.

So, would you rather people post skins that take about 15 minutes to make, or a few hours? Would you like to see the pop reel filled with skins that have little effort put into them? Would you like to see people who post these skins get famous, and get thousands of subs for doing hardly any work?

I see what you mean and I did say some people would disagree with me but you don't need to add so much shade!

See, there's what makes skins so much fun for the skinners. Trying to cram as much shading, and detail into such a small canvas presents an incredible challenge-- unlike texture packs, you can't increase the resolution (unless you have a HD skin mod). Also, it's more fun to look at. Seeing a skin thats' got an incredible amount of shading makes people stop and look at it, because it's interesting, and different from the default textures. But I do agree with you, my personal skin is not shaded very well, and uses default shading. Mainly because I don't like wearing a really realistic skin, because it feels to odd, to wear something amazing while using the default textures (not to insult the default textures).

Plus people kinda look stupid on servers walking around looking so shaded. (Not trying to offend anyone!)
