Today I am doing my blog on servers and why we need some new ones. Again I apologise for not posting for like a month, but I'm back so hope you enjoy.
There are over like, one hundred thousand servers currently online, but almost all of them are almost exactly the same. Nobody is coming up with any new ideas for a server. The lists of servers nowadays are just minigames, PVP, survival blah blah blah. What I would like to see is more servers in the 'other' catergory on websites like PMC, Minecraft forum or whatever. By the 'other' catergory I mean this one.

I know a lot of people will disagree with me that there are not enough 'other' servers around but that is the whole point of this blog.

The servers that should come under the 'other' catorgory, are servers that are different from the rest of them. i.e. Not made just for PVP, not minigame, not just survival. Some examples of these would be servers minecraft RPG's, open world PVP servers [These exist but there are very little of them around] or servers that are unique and have their own game style.

I hope you enjoyed this blog. I apologise for the length. Please leave comments and opinions below.

Intresting, although I think that we need more servers for other categories such as minigames, survival etc, just with they're own little twists. It's kinda like  both of those ideas combined. I think it would be cool anyways.

Be aware that making a new type of server is very hard to do. I agree with you 50% and disagree 50%. I think many servers are the same but there are some good servers that set them apart. DvZ is a very cool but not too well known type of server. I like that server a lot.

I do not have any experience with that, but I can imagine it's more difficult to set a RPG then a PVP map. So I can understand there is less unique server and more and more of the same thing. And I'm sure that if I search for ''how to set a Hungergame server'' I will have more informations then for a RPG. For the OpenWorld, it's more fun with building and cities, so it take a lot of work to have a good sized map with just enough constructions on it. It takes time to do and you are not sure if it will be appreciated enough by the community.
Like I said, I don't have any experience with those type of server, but I can imagine those are the reason why there is less RPG and Open World.
