Seting up your Bukkit server on Windows. (curent version 1.7.2))

here we will discust how to create a bukkit server.
the proccess is actualy realy simple.
  1. go on the place where you want your server files to be.
  2. create a folder caled whatever you want <--IMPORTANT
  3. go on dl.bukkit.org/ and download the recomended craftbukkit build. (Or the build of the version you want)
  4. when is downloaded go to your server directory that you created on step 2
  5. put the craftbukkit there.
  6. here you have to download one of the folowing files wich will make your server start: red_font starter.bat--> www.mediafire.com/view/?m330aom14wa3dnk green_font starter.bat
  7. --> www.mediafire.com/view/?ocoxegnp56zv606 regular_font starter.ba
  8. t--> www.mediafire.com/view/?iujxry86grz07sw regular_font starter.exe-->-=warnng this may be stoped by anti vrouses bcause its a bat combined to exe. so if u cant use it try the others above.=- www.mediafire.com/?rnavx7y6nz9nuxu
  9. when you download one of the above go and put it in the same folder as your craftbukkit we downloaded on step 3
  10. now run the file (step 7) and it will popup a cmd window.
  11. !!! if a windows defender show up and ask you to alow java tm... to bypas it accept it!!!
  12. let it load untill it stops loading saying <<13:12:13 [INFO] Done (time)! For help, type "help" or "?">>
  13. type in the word stop
  14. it will ask u to press any key to continiue so do it.
  15. a tonn of files and folders will be created on the server file or wherever the craftbukkit and start files are.
  16. now go to file caled server.properties open it with text editor (notepad)
  17. custumise it as you want like pvp true or not !!! in a point it says <> if you want your server to be cracked turn it to false!!!
  18. !!!! you will see a line saying << server ip>> LEAVE IT BLANK!!!!
  19. port forwording is optional if you want your server to be acessible ONLY FOR YOUR PC or if you want others to conect then is requierd

  20. after you port fword go to IP Chicken
  21. the ip you will see is the one that you will give to others after you port fword to join ya server.
  22. in the server folder there will be a folder caler <<world>>. This is an empty world.
  23. if you wan tto put your single player world go and delete the <<world>> folder and put your single player world. !!! reanme it to world.!!!
  24. start the server and
  25. now go to http://plugins.bukkit.org/ and find plugins you like. (I can code some for you :D)
  26. download em and put em to the plugins folder that is in the folder you made in step 2.
  27. start the server with the start file u downloaded on step6 and runed at step8
  28. go to your minecraft and add server with ip <<localhost>> and join your server.
  29. you can add a server with ip the number you saw on step 18 itsa same as localhost.
  30. ask someone to try to join your server from another pc (can be on the same lan). Give him/her the ip from step 18 and ask him/her to conect.
  31. if he/she can that means that everything works fine
  32. if he/she cant that means that there is a problem usualy with: port forword,firewall alow,server not runing, no internet conection on the servers pc.

system requierments:
>2 gb ram
good cpu processor unit
>4 gb space on disk
low ping network conection
fast network conection

tips:
if your pc is slow and its on the limit of system requierments (see above) then we recomend you, not to play minecraft or run heavy programs on this computer while the server is running.

dont op people untill u know em and their behaviour

download WorldEdit and WorldGuard to guard and build easy.

download a rollback pluggin to rollback griefers!

that means that the batch is coppyied wrongly or you edited it without noticeing can you please send me the file (upload it somewhere and give me the link to download so i can see how i may fix it.) thnaks

Wow this is better then me getting the pre made bukkit! I get no errors and no space error things :) Thanks for this!!!! You should make a video and server also!

the layout of this tutorial combined with the unorganized language make it rather confusing. Try to even out your spelling. a few mistakes are no problem, but a larger amount will start to hurt the eyes after a while. And I have no idea what you mean by port fword (step 18)

Second, try to split up your tutorial in parts. right now you ahve a long list of steps. this is tiresome to read, and requires a large amount of concentration to avoid making mistakes. split it up into paragraphs to make it easier to read, or put an empty line between each step.

Third, make the font a bit bigger, and make it so the red sentences take up only a single line.

good luck, and I hope your tutorial wil work out great. I'd love to read it in its new form!

well i am not english an i also have dislexia so i have dificultys with speling... sorry
