Hey guys, today I want to bring something to your attention. I want to covey to all of my readers that a blog is not just a pile of text meant to generate experience points. A blog is really a way for an author to express themselves and inspire others. I've heard to many people complain about how the quality of work has gone down, so I decided to do something about it. This explains why it is important to SPEAK up.
Why blogging is an expression of yourself
A blog is meant to be a way for an author (you) to express ideas through the mode of text to an audience. It can be done by telling a story, making a lets play series, making a tutorial, posting art, or expressing an idea for the audience to ponder. The reason a blog is expressive is that the author (you) has the opportunity to create an original written piece that others can read and reflect on. Whatever you post or create is a direct reflection of you, so be proud of it.
Never be afraid to openly express yourself because you are the only one who can truly tell yourself who to be. If you ever get mean or irrelevant feedback, ignore it and move on. Besides, people who write blogs are always taking the risk that someone won't agree or will not like the approach the author took. So let me put it this way; if someone leaves a bad comment on a submission that you truly expressed yourself in, ignore it.
How blogging inspires others
Through blogging, an author has the chance to present an idea to their audience that will make them think. When people who read an authors writing set off to create their own, they were inspired. It's important that we as bloggers are able to inspire others so that we can pay it forward by helping someone and, in an way, pass our passion of writing on to them. The way you, as a blogger, can inspire someone is by showing others your example and how they might be able to achieve it.
I know sometimes it hard to come up with material that will get noticed, but no matter what, copying someone else's work is ABSOLUTELY NOT an option. Make it a personal challenge to write something that others haven't written before, plus make it original. Content that you alone make will be more original and more likely to get noticed. So when others read your genuine writing, they may be inspired enough to take the challenge to make their own writing. In your blogging, you have the chance to influence others whether to blog or do something else. So be persuasive, influence people!
So what does SPEAK stand for?
-Stand: be able to freely stand for what you believe, because no one can tell you otherwise
-Preform: do your best to ensure your submission is a reflection of yourself that you in-turn want others to see
-Equip: if someone if struggling, lend them a hand so they have reassurance that there will always be people there to help them in times of need
-Acknowledge: recognize other people for their submissions and what they do so they may inspired to one day do the same
-Know: remember that others will always look up to you for guidance, so set a good example
JCPresentations and I have made it our goal to give support to all new bloggers, as well as people wanting support
Guys, if anything Im not saying ignore mean people or do what you want, I am telling you that it's your choice to SPEAK up and be heard. You are the only one that can express who you are, and that's what makes you unique. It's okay to be different, but most importantly be yourself.
Thank you all for reading. Best regards,
