As all you Star Wars fans probably are already well-aware of, the title for the eighth film in the Skywalker saga has been revealed as "The Last Jedi". This is a blog where you can discuss what you think the title might mean in the movie, as well as any theories you may have. Why is the logo red? Is the use of the word "Jedi" in the title plural or singular? Will Luke Skywalker die in this film, with Rey thus becoming "The Last Jedi"? Feel free to share your thoughts in the comments!

I find it strange that like the logo is red, so that is pointing to the dark side or Kilo ren, or whoever the new Darth Vader is. We know that he almost got killed by rey at the end of Episoide 7, so he is gonna pretty much be darth vader when he gets back. Maybe He joins the rebellion, and that's what they refer to it as "The Last Jedi" because Kylo ren is the only remining person "with the force" that we know of on the dark side.
But it could also be pointing to Blood, or something bad is going to happen. Because since they are introducing new star wars characters for THIS generation of Star wars fans, it is only efficient for them to kill off past characters, such as han solo. So possibly Luke Skywalker gets killed, and rae is left as "The Last Jedi". But because of the death of the Actress for princess Laya, Princess Laya, or now known as Commander Laya will die in this star wars.

After killing his father, we all know that Ren is pretty much un-redeemable, or at least in my opinion. I'm personally hoping for him to die in Ep. IX, without turning from the dark side. Therefore, he is no longer a rip-off of Darth Vader like many say he is and his character is a true tragedy in the series, a character that was once good but died a villain. I'm also pretty sure Leia will die in VIII as well; after the death of Fisher, Lucasfilm stated that they had no plans to bring her back with CGI, as they did with Tarkin in Rogue One, so it's rather obvious that they have her killed off somewhere in the story.

I know that it's called Skywalker saga! But does it mean that Rey is part of Skywalker family?
Rey is the main character. Every other Skywalker saga movies had Skywalker as a main character.

I'm personally leaning towards Rey being Luke's daughter like many other people. But the theory that Rey is Darth Vader reincarnated also seems pretty credible.
