What's the difference between "mods" and "hacks"?

If you ask a million people this question, you'll get a million different answers, and one isn't necessarily more right than the other.

My view is simple:

"Modding" is short for "modifying" which refers to modifying or changing something within the game, usually in a context that isn't allowed.

"Hacking" refers to breaking into game files or networks in with access is not authorized.

However, in many cases, in order to "mod" a game file you aren't suppost to, you have to "hack" into it. so you can use the words interchangeably.

Well that's all for now, don't forget to Diamond, Subscribe, and Favorite! Also Comment!

In my opinion, hacks are just mods that are meant for cheating, especially on servers.

It's not cheating if it's in single player because there are no rules in single player. Or if you're the owner of the server then you make the rules exempt to you.

True. If you are the owner of a server, you can do what you please. You can't get in trouble for it, because who's gonna punish you, right?
