I know this is not how Endermen really got where they are today. This is just a story meant to entertain. But hey, what if this really was how Endermen came to be what the are?

A long time ago, when redstone was added, someone decided that their favorite console game character should be in minecraft. So they added Slenderman with a mod. Slenderman was programmed to be Herobrine level in strength, intelect, and creepyness. He decided that he needed minions, like how the wither had wither skeletons. He managed to reprogram minecraft a bit, adding in a new mob. No one knows to this day how he did it, especially since he wasn't even in every minecraft game. Only the ones with his mod. But hey, he's Slenderman, right? He made Endermen in his own image, and made then nearly as creepy. He gave them the power of teleportation, but having minions wasn't enough for him. He spread them throughout minecraft, ordering them to make him powerfull. Slenderman wanted to pretty much run minecraft, and he would need suplies. The Endermen went out to player homes and took block after block, door after door. They didn't understand that he wanted blocks other than cobble and wood planks, and those were pretty much all he got from them. He was outraged. He banned them from his empire to be, although Slenderman never did get past his biggest problem. He couldn't exist outside of his mod. The Endermen wanted to please him, so they kept stealing blocks. When he didn't take them back in, they were ashamed. They believed that if their own creator didn't think they were good enough, then they were inferior to all. Slenderman hadn't even given the Endermen a name. So they tried their best to kill all who laid eyes upon them, not wanting to be seen, not believing they were worthy of being seen. They still, to this day, try to take blocks and give them to Slenderman as gifts, hoping for forgiveness. Usually, he kills every Enderman who gives him something.

One Enderman was searching for a lava pit to jump into, when he found a jungle temple. Back then, nine ender pearls was all one needed to craft an eye of ender. Until Endermen came to be, there was no mob drop that could power an end portal. The Enderman somehow knew that his ender pearls could make what the portal needed. The Enderman taleported out of the temple and got four wood blocks, then went back and made a crafting table. He spawned a bunch of ender pearls and made eyes of ender. He used them to activate the end portal, then went in. The end was the remnants of a once great world, destroyed except for the core by the Ender Dragon. The Dragon destroyed also the world's sun, shrouding it in eternal darkness. The Enderman was certain that the end was the perfect place for his kind. It was never light, and the Ender Dragon rarely came to the ground to notice whatever was on it. The Enderman teleported out of the end and told all the others about it. Some Endermen thought they could get forgiveness from Slenderman, so they stayed. The rest teleported to the portal and went in. The Ender Dragon saw them as intruders, and tryed to kill them with his power to destroy most blocks and mobs on touch. The Endermen always teleported away from him, and they left and returned with stolen diamond blocks. These were offered as gifts intended to buy the Endermens' way out of the Dragon's rath. It worked, although he had one condition. Whenever he was mad, he could kill as many of them as he wanted without them teleporting. The deal was made, and most of the time, the Endermen were completely ignored. The Endermen were so thankfull, they named themselves after the Ender Dragon. Whenever a player killed enough Endermen and got enough ender pearls and enough eyes of ender, and came to the end, the Endermen were unhappy. They wanted to be left alone, so they tried to kill all visitors. The Ender Dragon was pleased by this, so he held back from killing his guards more often than he used to.

There are still Endermen who try to get Slenderman's forgiveness, so there are still Endermen to cause players grief outside of the end. Slenderman will never rule minecraft, nor will he succeed in making a perfect minion. He tried to make Herobrine his apprentice, but he was zapped by lightning a few times and burned to ash a few times. Herobrine still works solo, and Slenerman is just as he was when his mod was first made.

Hope you liked this! I had no tutorial ideas, and didn't want to go without posting until I had one. I might make an alternative origin for Endermen soon, or maybe an origin for another mob. If you liked this, please give it a diamond or favorite it. If you want more posts by me, you're welcome to subscribe and/or say so in the comments. Thank you for reading this far, and good day to you!
CreditEpic Max 's origin for nether mobs (except ghasts) made me want to write something like it.
