Minecraft is always growing and is constantly pushing the limits with new and innovative ideas.

Since Minecraft is a cube based world and structured game there is a limit to animated realism and motion.

The in-game mode Creative's porpoise is to allow the player to build bigger more ambitious creations that are often restricted on standard Survival Mode. But such realistic builds turn out to be disappointing and/or underwhelming.

A solution to enhance the life like feel of the game? A ROTATOR block!

Basically the block would allow you continuously spin one or many blocks round in a circle as long as they are linked together with slime blocks.

Function

The Rotator block would be similar in the function of a piston. The block would be powered by a Redstone source. It would also be able to be placed on it's side, upside down or just face up.

The block would move in a quarter circle each time it turned with one turn every second.

Such a block would make in builds more realistic like:

- Blimps (with working propellers)
- Fans
- Helicopters
etc.

Crafting and Enhancement

To obtain the Rotator the crafting recipe would be like so.



To increase the speed to one turn per 2 seconds, the Rotator block plus a Potion of Swiftness must be crafted together.

| Rotator Block | + = Enhanced Rotator Block

To decrease the speed to one "turn" per 1 1/2 second, the Rotator block plus a Potion of Slowness must be crafted together.

| Rotator Block | + = Unenhanced Rotator Block


Problems and Issues

Although this would be a great addition there are some downsides to this idea. When activating such a block there would or may be sudden glitches and lag. The game may also experience crashes resulting in loss of progress and very frustrated players.

A feature as complex as this would need to be bug free to perform to it's full potential abilities and porpoise.
