[To Create an Adventure Map]

-First off, making an adventure map by yourself is kinda hard and will take a lot of time so make sure to get help..

-Then, you will need to set a story for your adventure map .. The story will be depended on the most so make sure to make it a good one!

-After you get your story you should start building as your story develops .. A way to do that is to actually feel like playing the map yourself .. Think like the players when they will be playing what would they like and what would they not.. !!

-You will need to measure up your supply items in order to make it fair and a bit more challenging for the players.. !! (Food, Weapons, Armour, etc.)

- You can also pay some attention on the add-ons like choosing what to use : Redstone or Command blocks (or both) ... Maybe you could also use MCedit for custom spawners and all that fun stuff !!

-After you finish something or you reach some part of the story .. Try going back to the beginning and see if the map is actually enjoyable for other people to play!

If you want to do the stuff where you push a button and it drops you in a spawnpoint, or whatever, here it is!

You can use command blocks for that !! Connect the button to a command block that you will use a command with coordinates such as this one: /tp @a -50 237 -15

the /tp command is to Teleport

Use this to indicate the person or people you want the block to take effect to !!
@a (All Players)
@p (Nearest Player)
@r (Random Player)

and from that command the following are the x: -50 y: 237 z: -15
you can find them if you press F3 on the spot you want to teleport to!! Do not use the commas thought... Take the stable number in the parenthesis !!!

Make sure to write them down and use them in the correct row and with space between them !!

I know its a little complicated but I hope you get the hang of it!

Thanks for reading this little tutorial! Happy Minecrafting!

I recommend using TooManyItems as well, for custom spawners, it is very useful.
