Please have read THIS blog beforehand. This one builds off the prior one.

What is the Creeper? Is the Creeper a pig? Is it a plant?

Obviously, the creeper is a bunch of numbers in the code, and obviously it is a failed pig model. But what is the Creeper in the actual lore of the game.

Many people--including the famous MatPat–agree that the creeper is a plant. A fungus, of sorts.

The Creeper does seem plant-like in composition. It appears green, and it does show similar characteristics to other plants that explode to spread seeds.

MatPat has a video that explains why he believes the Creeper to be a fungus. And, honestly, the video is very convincing. It has only one omission…

MatPats video forgets the fact that Creepers drop music discs, however. And, I believe that this is proof of something else. I present the theory that the Creeper isn’t a plant, but instead a robot. A golem.

As explained in a previous theory I made, I think that the Heroes were at war, in two groups. One group (called Heroes), lived inside of deserts, within the Desert Temples. These temples have TNT as well as sandstone engraved with the face of a Creeper. Also, fun fact, there appear to be words engraved on the sandstone, which spell out the acronym “LEV”, meaning “go away” in Swedish.

The important takeaway from this, is the fact that there are Creepers, and TNT are both present in this area.

I think that the Creeper was made as a spy, for the Heroes, and was recording these discs (specifically 13, 5 and 11) as evidence to help the Heroes in their efforts.

You, as the player, are a Builder (an enemy of the Heroes) and thus you cannot get the discs. Skeletons are Heroes, and thus are allowed to retrieve these discs with their bows.

The reason the creeper tries to explode is to destroy the evidence on their discs. So you can’t get it

Note that the official Mobeastiary book has a cutaway of the Creeper, and it looks quite robotic, similar to the Iron Golem, including a large block of TNT with wires connected. The book also mentions the brain is "programmed" to cause destruction. I find this choice of words interesting.

Note note that theres a rando splash text; "THE CREEPER IS THE SPY!"

This explains the long-questioned mystery of the music discs, while also explaining a reasonable theory for Creepers. I want to implore you to not take this theory as Gospel truth and make up your own guesses and theories about the game. I'm not always right, and the real answer may not be what's stated above. Keep theorising!

I love that people take this and make lore on it, even though originally it was just a pig mess-up. XD

The Creepers were never shown to be "born" from the pools. Though these pools are present, they may not be anything more than a simple landscape feature.

Perhaps Creepers do have some of the liquids inside.of them, though, as part of their construction.
