Hey guys Diamonddozen here! Welcome to the first edition of DiamondBlog Returns! So it begins. I am doing a daily blog, and we will have lots of fun. Every 50 blogs I will have a party and do something special for you.
This blog is all about finding the best way to mine. Here we go. Buckle up and be read
Types of Mining
I don't know EVERY type of mining, but I do know some. There are strip mining, cave mining, ravine mining, and what I like to call Designated mining.
Strip Mining
Strip mining is the easiest and least rewarding way to mine. You basically dig a whole down and then stop at one certain spot and start branching off from there. The reason it's the least rewarding, is because of all the gravel and dirt possibilities. Yes, there is lots of cobblestone as well, but that's not as bad. The reason this has the greatest amount of gravel and dirt is because of all the 'dunes'. A dune in my eye is just a big pile of it. The Earth in Minecraft has lots of dirt and gravel 'dunes'.
Cave Mining
Cave mining is moderately easy and is probably the most rewarding (yes even more rewarding than Raving Mining). What is it? Simple. You find a cave and mine in it. The only reason I haven't stated it as easy is, because sometime it's hard to find a cave. It's the most rewarding, because there are ores EVERYWHERE. Most of the time it's Coal or Iron, but there is also a lot of redstone, gold, and diamond.
Ravine Mining
This fairly hard and VERY dangerous. In order to Ravine Mine you must first find a ravine. They are the big cracks in the middle of nowhere. The reason they are so dangerous is because so many people attempt to tackle it from the top. Let me advise you NEVER to do that. What I like to do is go to the edge of the ravine and start to strip mine. Just dig in a diagonal until you reach the bottom. That is the safest and most practical way. If you really don't want to 'waste your time' then there is another way. Collect some dirt and building yourself a staircase. Unless you want to commit suicide never dig straight down when at the edge of a ravine, because there could be a cave opening and you will eventually die.
Designated Mining
This is my favourite way to mine. Designated Mining is basically just picking one area to to mine in. What I do is I
What is the Best Way to Mine?
In my opinion there is no best way. I just have a favourite. So how about we take a poll. Tomorrow on my next blog I will post the results on the board and conclude what is the best way to mine. In the comments below answer this question:

This is my favourite way to mine. Designated Mining is basically just picking one area to to mine in. What I do is I
- Make some ladders. They are your best friend when Designated Mining.
- Pick an area. I like to find a hole in the ground. However, you can just make your own hole.
- Start digging. Just bring a shovel, pickaxe, and your ladders and you are set to go. Every layer that you dig you place a ladder. Simple as that.
