Why Do We Hate Squids?

Hey guys! Today, I'm going to talk about squids. As you probably know and agree, many people hate squids in Minecraft. Here is what I think people hate about them.

First, their general uselessness. Most mobs have a purpose. Sheep for their wool and food, pigs for their food and ridability, cows for their milk, leather and beef and many more mobs with purposes. What is the squid's purpose? Ink sacks. That's it. You know what that's used for? Black dye and book and quills. Again, that's it.

Secondly, their general annoyingness. They ALWAYS spawn in your pool, or your fountain, or your pond where you don't want them. They not only go where you don't want them, but they are not very attractive. I don't some weird creature with tentacles swimming in my pool. Also, if you're in a boat, and you happen to run over them, they break your boat!

Finally, we just love to hate them. This is how it is with a lot of video game villains. A certain youtuber started the spark of our hate for squids, and I feel we already know who this youtuber is. From there, many other youtubers played along with this, and made cartoons, animations and even mod reviews that somehow blamed squids for something. Perhaps the most famous thing squids have been blamed for is stealing gold. We Minecrafters just followed in suit, hating away at the unattractive, useless, annoying squids.
