Alright, so if you look around the skin section of the site, and scroll through the Recently Updated Skins, you're bound to find 10+ "cute girl skin"(s) or ex. "hot girl skin"(s). Nearly all of these skins, after a while of looking and realizing, look the same. I'm here to anwser three questions today: Why people think that these "girl skins" are "cute", how these skins got to be the norm for girl skins on PMC, and why are they so poorly drawn?
Question 1: "Why do people think that these 'girl skins' are classifiable as cute or quote 'hawt'?"
Over time, people have taken the idea of a "hot" girl out of the minds of people who play Minecraft (sorry guys, but mostly people who can't get a date) and have made this the ideal skin on Minecraft. These skins are classifiable as "unattainable" girls in real life, and so thereforth the idea of meeting a nerd girl on Minecraft with this skin is, in the mind of a dateless, very attractive.
Question 2: "How did these skins got to be the norm for girl skins on PMC?"
The norm for Planet Minecraft skins changes as the ideal girl in real-life changes. As stated in the first question, the idea of a extremely attractive girl playing Minecraft with herself as her skin is every nerd's dream. As the idea of what a attractive girl should look like changes, people adapt these ideas and incorporate them into their girl skins. Then, the girl-nerds of Plant Minecraft think "Oh wow, I wish I could look like that" (Not biased against nerds or girls here guys.) and switch their skins with that. These skins then become popular, and people start to think that they are good, thus making more of the skins.
Question 3: "Why are these girl skins so poorly drawn?"
The awnser to this question is that the artists who waste their time making these skins don't care to detail them how a real girl looks. They don't add shading or such, but use the simplistic (and bad) ideas of old girl skins. Many girl skins, as you will see, have sparkly eyes, long hair, short-shorts, and small blouses and/or tank tops. This is, unfortunately, the idea of a hot girl, and many of these skins are edited from old bad skins, meaning that just a few changes like color and the placing of the clothes, meaning no detail is added and the old ideas are kept circling through PMC.
I am not saying that all PMC girl skins are bad, just that the majority and norm of PMC girl skins are, sorry, bad.
Maybe one day PMC will move to an age where the girl skins are detailed and actually good looking, but then again maybe Charlie Sheen will run for president (and win).

No. They'll find some sort of flaw and point it out, making the creator feel bad.
I try to make my skins creative, but every girl skin is based off of the classic. We just prefer to make our skins more, how to put this, us.
There are lots of amazing skinners way more experienced in skinning than I am, and look at thiers.
Myra _, for example, strives to make sure each and every one of her skins is way different than the last (unless it's a redraw) and has such creative ideas, that lots of people want to be like her.
So please, let us make our horrible skins, and keep your mouth shut. It seriously offended me when I read this. I clicked on it, and now I wish I hadn't.
Sorry if I'm offending you, but I had to get that out.
