WITCH


Witches can spawn anywhere in the Overworld at a light level of 7.

Every witch hut spawns a witch inside during world generation. Afterwards, witches and only witches will spawn in the 7*9*5 area that is the witch hut. This is the size of the roof and one block over the porch, and a bit down.

the witch can spawn when a villager is struck by lightning within 3-4 blocks from the lightning bolt. Then, the villager that gets struck by lightning and a witch will be spawned.
When killed, witches may drop glass bottles,glowstone dust, gunpowder, redstone, spider eyes, sticks and sugar. They drop 1–3 different item types, and 0-6 quantity of each, though with an overall maximum of six items total.
Witches can also drop potions of healing, fire resistance, swiftness and water breathing, but only when they die while drinking that potion. They drop 5 experience when killed by a player or tamed wolf.

Witches use splash potions offensivly, and normal potions defensively. they have a search radius of 16 blocks.

Offense

they will throw potions of slowness if the player is 8 blocks and does not have the slowness effect.
they will throw potions of poison if the players health is atleast 8 (4 hearts) and is not already poisoned.
they have a 25% chance of throwing a potion of weakness if the player dosen't have the effect
if none of the following is true the witch will throw potions of harming

Defence

if set on fire, witches drink a potion of fire resistance
When damaged, they will drink a healing potion
when a witch's head is underwater they will drink potions of water breathing
when more than 11 blocks away from a target, it will drink a potion of swiftness to get closer and attack

witches are 85% resistant to splash potions of poison and damage
