Tired of your iron farm making noises in your base? Name any mob to "silent" with a name tag, and they will never speak another word with this datapack! Works with most mobs, and utilizes the NBT-tag "Silent".

Compatible with 1.13. The datapack has been tested in both single player and realms.

Installation

Follow the steps to install this datapack:
  1. Download the datapack
  2. Open Minecraft
  3. Select your world, click on Edit and then Open Folder
  4. Put the datapack inside the folder named datapacks
  5. Start the world, the datapack should now be installed, in case it isn't working type /reload in chat

the button says to download minecraft map, but is not a map, it is a datapack. The button should be changed to Download From Mirror to avoid confusion.

You could then do "talkative" or "unsilent" to unsilent them if you did what donnymoonshine wants

can you make it so that after the nametag is placed to make mob silent you can then rename them to whatever you like whilst keeping the mob silent
