Required Resource Pack
10
NOTE: I'll no longer update this datapack, since in my point of view the vanilla nether is enough for survival. (i mean im knida tired of updating this. wanna do something else for now.)
btw if you want something similar and better, you can take a look at the Netherbound 3.2 datapack.
Just a simple data pack that makes surviving in nether more interesting.
When you first start a world and already installed the data pack, please do /reload to let us help you set things up!
NOTE: The pack is made that you only and have to live in the nether, and all of the requirements should be obtainable without having to go back to the overworld.
If you have any suggestions or questions, feel free to leave it in the comment!

And maybe you can have ghast tear or something and nether wart make beetroot, to make it easier to get food in the long run. Also, maybe make a function where if you throw a nether log into soul fire it turns into charcoal? And maybe some custom advancements? And also redstone from glowstone and lava? And maybe a way to dig through the bedrock on the ceiling with netherite and obsidian or something? Okay, now
I'm done.
But um if you want that I MIGHT try that and upload it, as long as I have the time to do so.
(plus I personally think the vanilla nether is enough for survival mode. like it's a challenge, so our task is not adding something unnecessary, but something that is currently lacked)
anyways
1. basalt as nether iron ore
2. scrap + charcoal coal = diamond (wait what did I added charcoal?)
3. some kind of mechanics to transmute wart into other plants
4. nether fungi in soul fire = charcoal (um it's kinda hard, can I use campfire instead?)
5. custom advancements (um it might take some time)
6. glowstone + lava = redstone, but I think crimson fungi or something is better
7. break bedrock with netherite... wait that's illegal. (idk maybe I can try, but it will probably fail)
Okay a new thing to do OWO
Too many changes in each version, being a little tired to keep tracking them and remake the whole pack every week.
Anyways as soon as they done working all the new features I’ll start updating this ;)
i could brainstorm some ideas but dont want to intrude on your own creation.
the trickiest part might be selecting spawn point I think.
Oh wait maybe I can do it like in the end, spawning an obsidian platform at a specific position. thoughts?
craftable iron?
i added a custom recipe just to make my life easier, its just "2 crimson log + 2 quartz = 3 charcoal" cause wood is just inefficient, you cant smelt log into charcoal like the overworld. its not the best and could be refined.
