This data pack changes the majority of chest loot tables to improve what you get from them, and include items unobtainable in vanilla survival (such as custom players heads, banners not craftable in survival, and enchantments of higher levels).

It also comes with advancements to track the player heads, banners, and unique items you've collected. These advancements don't cover consumable items; like custom arrows and potions added by the data pack, or any of the unmodified items it also adds to loot tables.

Note that the custom heads in this data pack are different from those in my Buyers Market nitwit trades.

More information about data packs and how to use them can be found on the official Minecraft Wiki.

When one is looking for that special decoration... Say... a toy TNT minecart to complete the decor for their play room. OR some books to scatter around the enchanting area.
Maybe you want some more Barrels but... it just doesn't look right! you need some thing.... non functional?

Look no farther! Chest loot upgrades by Tetrajak, will save your home from looking... bland? dull? Vanilla?
These are the items that appeal to all! from builders to adventurers, to EEEEeewww! Yuck! what is that?
    Yah... that.
That said. Not only are their re-textured-bodyless-heads for you to stick around, there are weapons, tools, banners, and more!
I give a 9/10 only because I like to build and not search for my items.

    Bushmonkey Recomends ;-)

Admittedly I haven't published the list of unique items anywhere because I don't want to spoil the surprise. To give you a rough idea of some of the more unusual loot, there are; weapons and tools with enchantments above what's possible in survival, custom textured player heads for decoration, patterned banners (some of which have more layers than is possible in survival), custom potion and tipped arrow effects and combinations that aren't possible in survival, shulker boxes in all loot tables of dangerous or hidden chests, bottles of experience, emeralds, and a whole lot more. I realise this isn't a very detailed list, but like I said, I don't want to ruin the surprises ;)

Yes! Once you've added it to your server's datapack folder, you'll need to either run the /reload command, or restart the server, before it will have any effect.

Compatible? No, it can't be made compatible with any other data packs that change the same loot tables that Chest Loot Upgrade does.

Yea, dungeons, strongholds, nether fortresses, etc. all have better loot, including a bunch of unique stuff you can't get in regular survival Minecraft.

I love this Mod, I love Collecting all the Heads and Banners, and the Enchanted Armor and Weapons are Awesome. But I was Wondering If there was Someplace I could look to See How many Heads and Banners there are, What they Are, And where to Find them? Because I would Love to see What I can Find without Having to Try and Get into the Mod files

I've added advancements in the latest update that'll let you track how many heads, banners, and unique items you've found in each location! Let me know if they help, or if you'd like them changed in some way!

I Love The Addition, Thank you! It wasn't Exactly What I was Expecting, But It Definitely Works For me.

Edit: I have just noticed That you forgot Advancements For The Pillager Outposts

    You're welcome!

I haven't actually changed the loot of the pillager outpost, so that's why there aren't any advancements for it. I'm still indecisive about what I want to add to it.

Edit: added missing pillager outpost advancements; completely forgot I'd added loot to them.

Sorry, there's no documentation about the contents of the loot, but I might look at putting some advancements in the data pack to help you track the progress of your collection! Not sure when I'll find the time to do so, so your quickest answer right now would be to check the files.
Edit: new advancements have been added for loot tracking.

If you know how to edit loot tables, then you're welcome to do so on your own download of the data pack.

Is this compatible with other mods that add to the loot table? For example, the treasure gems vanilla tweaks mod? And will this sort of loot appear in datapacks that add new structures like the Illager fortress? Thanks!

No, sorry, it is not compatible with any other data pack that modifies the same loot tables.

Yes, the loot from this data pack should appear in new structures, if their authors of the new structures have set up their chests in the structure to point at the same loot tables the vanilla structure uses.

None. I enabled the arms using commands, and the head is a textured player head; one of many different ones you can get from chests with this data pack installed.

Thanks, I'm glad you like it! Part of the fun of exploration and discovery comes from finding things you didn't expect, which is why I'm very vague about the new loot added. The picture shows several of the additions though!
