BlazeandCave's advancements pack is one of the first advancement datapacks ever created and is also one of the largest and most feature-packed. It adds over 600 new advancements to your world so you have some extra challenges to do in your survival world.

The current version requires release 1.15 or 1.15.1 or 1.15.2. The Beta Build requires snapshot 20w20b or later (more information below). Version 1.Infinity requires snapshot 20w14infinity (more information below again).

Notable features:
- Over 600 new advancements!

BlazeandCave's Advancements Pack adds over 600 new advancements to your world, bringing the total up to 731, which brings numerous new challenges to your survival world or a competitiveness to servers. Some new advancements are inspired by various existing pre-1.12 achievements as well as achievements that are exclusive to the Bedrock or Console editions of Minecraft. Many are purely original ideas of our own or of other people (see extra credits section). You may find a list of advancements here.

- 16 Advancement Tabs in total!
All five of the tabs in vanilla advancements have had many more advancements added to expand upon what was already there, and many new advancement tabs have been added for more specific categories.
  • BlazeandCave's Advancements - Contains a few basic advancements that start you off in a brave new world as well as 'milestone' advancements that are awarded for completing every advancement in each of the other tabs.
  • Mining - The mining-related advancements from the vanilla tab "Minecraft" have been taken and expanded upon greatly into the "Mining" tab with more advancements relating to each of the different ores and what you can do with them.
  • Building - A brand new tab that is all about crafting and building using various blocks.
  • Farming - The vanilla "Husbandry" tab has been split up into the Farming and Animals tabs. The Farming tab focuses on crops and various plants in Minecraft.
  • Animals - The Animals tab is largely about breeding, slaughtering and taming animals in Minecraft, and fishing.
  • Monsters - A brand new tab that takes some of the monster-related advancements from the vanilla "Adventure" tab and expands upon them greatly with unique advancements and challenges for nearly every monster in Minecraft.
  • Weaponry - A brand new tab that is about weapons, both conventional and unconventional.
  • Biomes - A brand new tab that contains advancements relating to various biomes, including the ocean.
  • Adventure - The vanilla "Adventure" tab has been expanded upon greatly with more advancements relating to exploration, villages, trading, raids, and various structures like the ocean monument and woodland mansion.
  • Redstone - A brand new tab that is all about crafting and using various redstone components.
  • Enchanting - A brand new tab that is all about enchanting items.
  • Statistics - A brand new tab that keeps track of various statistics.
  • Nether - The vanilla "Nether" tab has been expanded upon greatly with more advancements relating to the hellish dimension and the monsters and structures within.
  • Potions - The potion-related advancements from the vanilla "Nether" tab have been expanded upon in this tab containing more advancements relating to many of the different potion effects.
  • The End - The vanilla "The End" tab has been expanded upon greatly with more advancements relating to the dark, barren dimension and the monsters and structures within.
  • Super Challenges - Contains the most difficult advancements in the datapack. Many of these test the limits of what can be done in Minecraft.
- Advancement scoreboard.
There is a built-in scoreboard that will count how many advancements you have obtained so far in your world. Great for seeing your progress or for competing with your friends!

- Item rewards given via functions.
A feature that can be turned on and off, item rewards give you a little extra incentive or reward to completing many of the advancements.

- Full translation support.
All advancements are fully translatable using the BACAP Language Resource Pack - currently Russian, Japanese, Chinese, French, German, Spanish, Pirate Speak and Lolcat languages are supported. You can help us translate - more details are below.


Installation:
1) Unzip the compressed folder that you downloaded.

2) Copy the folder labeled "bac_advancements". Paste it into the following folder directory in the world you want to install them in: /datapacks.

3) Go into the world. A message should pop up saying you are using BlazeandCave's advancements pack, but if it doesn't, instead open up your advancements menu. The Beginning tab should be unlocked.


Nether Update Beta Build:
1.10 Beta Build 10
- a beta build for Minecraft 1.16 snapshot 20w20b or later - is available now, which currently contains 121 more advancements (for a total of 853 advancements in the datapack). Many are related to the new features added in the Nether Update.

Infinity Snapshot Version:
Version 1.Infinity is a special challenge version for snapshot 20w14infinity. It is a copy of 1.10 Beta Build 3 but upon loading in it will spawn a command block that will give you supplies for building an infinite amount of portals for the infinite amount of dimensions out there.

The aim of the Infinity challenge is: Complete as many advancements as you can in BlazeandCave's Advancements Pack, but you are only allowed to use random dimensions to achieve this. So no using anything in the overworld, nether or the end. For minimal exposure you could even make the overworld be a superflat world with nothing in it.
You may build a 'base' in the overworld for things like farms as well as all your portals there (since returning through any portal brings you to the overworld) or you could have one portal in the overworld which leads to a 'home dimension' where your base and all your portals are. Seriously, try the 'home dimension' idea out, there are some nice-looking dimensions out there! :D

Using the advancement scoreboard:
Completing each advancement triggers a function that adds one to a scoreboard, so it counts how many advancements each player on a world has obtained.
You can get the scoreboard to show up on the sidebar using the following command:
/scoreboard objectives setdisplay sidebar bac_advancements

Or on the player list that shows up when you press tab:
/scoreboard objectives setdisplay list bac_advancements

Please note that due to the way advancements and functions work, if a non-opped player gets an advancement they may not actually trigger any function rewards, so the scoreboard may not count for non-opped players on a server. However, you can fix this using the following command, which runs a special function that updates the scores for every player currently online.
/function bc_rewards:update_score


Toggling reward functions:
Reward functions give you item or experience rewards upon completing some advancements. By default they are turned off. To turn them on enter the following command:
/scoreboard players set reward bac_settings 1
To turn them off enter this command:
/scoreboard players set reward bac_settings 0


Other settings:
You can set the advancements scoreboard to automatically update using this command:
/scoreboard players set adv_score bac_settings X
Where X is how often in seconds you want it to be updated. This setting is recommended for servers where the scoreboard won't update for non-opped players, and it is recommended that X is set to a high number for servers that are laggy or have a lot of people (e.g. 300 for 5 minutes).
X is set to 0 by default, which will cause it to only update from the functions (recommended for singleplayer or servers where everyone is opped)

You can also set the milestone advancements to automatically update in the same manner as the advancements scoreboard using the command:
/scoreboard players set checking bac_settings X
Again, X is set to 0 by default, which will cause it to only update from the functions (again, recommended for singleplayer or servers where everyone is opped)


Using the Language Resource Pack:
BlazeandCave's Advancements Pack has support for translation into other languages through use of the BACAP Language Resource Pack, which can be downloaded here.
  • The Language Pack is a resource pack that, instead of changing textures, adds more to language files to be used by the advancements pack.
  • It is installed just like any other resource pack.
  • When using it, you may choose any language that the Advancement Pack supports and it will change the names and descriptions of all of the advancements into that language.

If you are running a server, please note in the description that it supports translation using the BACAP Language Pack, and provide a link to the Planet Minecraft page.


Updating to newer versions:
The Advancements Pack will be updated for later Minecraft versions and snapshots to add more advancements or fix bugs.
In order to update, simply delete the "bac_advancements" folder from your world, then copy and paste the new folder in. Please note that when you re-enter your world some or all of the advancements you have already obtained you may need to obtain again if certain advancements get shifted between tabs in an update.

What you may do with these advancements:
You may freely use them to play your worlds. This includes singleplayer worlds, LAN worlds with friends, or even public multiplayer servers. If you use our advancements on a public server please credit us in the server's description and leave a link to the Planet Minecraft page.
You may record a Youtube series where you use these advancements in your survival world or on a server you play on. If you do, please credit us in the video or in the description, and leave a link to the Planet Minecraft page. And message me, too. I'd love to see you play with them.

Do not re-upload our advancements and claim them as your own. This includes reuploading them on other websites without our permission. The only sites that this datapack has been officially uploaded on is Planet Minecraft, Minecraft Forums, MinecraftMaps.com, the Datapack Centre and MCCreations.com.

You may create a page on another website talking about this pack that contains a link to this page, but do not reupload it.

You are allowed to take inspiration from this datapack if you intend to create your own advancements datapack, (eg. ideas) but you must give credit to this pack, including a link to this page, and also list off exactly which advancements in your pack were inspired or taken from our pack. Additionally, if you do this, we reserve the right to take some of your own advancement ideas too. You will be credited.


Troubleshooting:
I am aware a number of people have had trouble installing this datapack, especially on servers. The Troubleshooting section in the Read Me document that comes with the pack has more information on troubleshooting.

I cannot guarantee compatibility with any other datapack. This datapack modifies the vanilla advancements so if any other datapack(s) you attempt to use alongside this datapack relies on or also modifies the vanilla advancements there may be compatibility issues.

The latest few snapshots haven't added anything really new which is why there haven't been any updates.

When pre-releases start rolling out the finishing touches will be put on and also the Language Pack will be updated.

  • It's Original Form: The title should read "Its original form" (without an apostrophe) instead
  • Did you just run across Earth?: The distance from the north pole to the south pole is 13832km, not 1000km

"Did you just run across Earth" originally required 10,000km which was based on what I'd once read in a book where they'd said that when first deciding how long a kilometre should be they'd decided the distance from the North to South pole should be 10,000km (although due to inaccurate measuring techniques of the time this would be why they were a fair bit off).
The amount required was reduced to 1000km after consideration that 10,000km would take far too long to achieve

Almost! The diametre of the earth is almost exactly 40 000 km, meaning that 10 000 km were supposed to be the distance between the poles and the equator if you were to go along the surface.

Also, I just noticed that the ‘Jumping Jacks’ advancement counts 10 000 jumps while it should count 100 000

Hi,I am running a server with paper bukkit. also I am using this data pack very well.but Among the advancements, trick or trick and custom boss fight are not clearedTesting with the spigot bukkit revealed that it was a paper bukkit only problem.I don't know what settings in paper.yml cause these two advancements and problems.help me plz :)

Hello! I have little bug. I play in Minecraft 1.15.2 and try to do Challenge 10 withers but when i summon 10 withers i not received my achivment. And some bug in advancement "Full Stomach". I am full hungry and eat 4 Golden Carrot but i not received achivment. In JSON file writen "criteria" is "ten_withers" and i don't know what should I do. Wait your answer :)

You get "Full Stomach" when both your hunger and saturation is full. One easy way you can achieve this is by eating chorus fruit or honey bottles constantly until you get it (since you can eat those when your hunger is full to further increase your saturation)

Also "The World Is Ending" (10 withers) not triggering is a known bug which was fixed in one of the 1.10 Beta Builds (for 1.16's snapshots)

I think the description and name of advancement Naturally carved don't make sense. You get it once you harvest a natural pumpkin. Natural pumpkins are no longer carved and they are certainly not spoopy as is noted in the description.

Как выполнить ачивку 'путь разбойник'? Надо убить крестьянина всех профессий при помощи арбалета , я это сделала (13 профессий + бомба + маленького жителя + зомби крестьянина, даже торговца убила, так и не дали. Стоит 14/15, голова уже сломала.

Hello,
In first I definitly love your datapack since the download 3 weeks ago.
And I wanted to say you :
  - The drowned head icon of the advancement "Sleep with the fishes" (Spend a day underwater) is broken : now, this is an other player head
  - That can be better if in "Super Challenges" the advancement "Abyss Lord" (Stack of conduits) is following "Warlock" (Stack of beacons)
  - Add an hidden advancement in "Super Challenges" after "A Million blocks Away" : Touch the World Border, I don't have any idea of names but it can be a reference to the zone in a battle royale
  - If it's possible I propose to bring my help about french traduction : there are many problems about tenses.
  - Can you help me about "I'm in Space !" (Levitate up a distance of 256 blocks)
  - I don't understand the succes "Aww man !"
  - Did you write a list of all the hidden advancements ?

1) The drowned head icon was replaced with a drowned spawn egg in a later update.
2) I'd consider getting a stack of beacons to be harder than a stack of conduits.
3) One million blocks is the maximum distance I'm willing to force players to go.
4) The french translations are being tweaked slightly since other people have pointed out mistakes.
5) "I'm in Space" works like "Great view from up here" but far longer. You have to levitate up 256 blocks in one go without the effect running out (so shulkers keep replenishing the effect). One way to do this is to manually move a bunch of shulkers to one place around one pillar where they can all see and attack you.
6) "Aww man" is achieved if you die from a creeper explosion

You have to use /scoreboard objective setdisplay sidebar (...) <-- here you need to just find an objective you want to track. Mind, that they rather show how much of an objective has already been completed, not how much is left.

Would it be possible to make it so that if you are holding a totem of undying and "die" from bees you still get the "NOT THE BEES" advancement? I am using this pack in my hardcore world and would rather not have to delete it for an advancement, lol.

Hello, I faced a problem with achievements. I just have completed all the mining tab, but it says 69/70. However I do not see the last one, I counted there are 69 only. How can I fix it or if it is hidden how do I see it :D. By the way thank you for this Achievement Pack it is really great.

There are four hidden advancements in the mining tab. Since you have 69/70 you're missing one, but I'll just list all four here:
- Be in complete darkness (light level 0) - you've probably already done this
- Have gravel fall on you
- Hit a bat
- Place a campfire close to 0,0 coordinates

achievement "Gotta Go Fast!" gave me 16 oak fences as a reward while the chat says 16 gold ingots. i am using the previous beta version (20w18a) rather than this updated one

Thank you for reporting this bug.

As for your other question about seeing which criteria you have completed, you can open up the "advancements" folder inside your world then there should be a file labelled with your UUID. Open it with a program like Notepad ++ then press Ctrl + F and search for the advancement you want to find (make sure to have underscores between each word). Then there should be a list

There is also a mod called BetterAdvancements which shows ingame which criteria you have (and haven't) completed

I'm using fabric and playing with some mods with this datapack and the advancements won't show up. Could I be doing something wrong or does this pack just not work with mods? I'm playing on 20w17a

I have seen other people use it with mods but I cannot guarantee 100% compatibility with anything else. Be sure to check and double-check your installation instructions.

In addition, the latest beta build (1.10 Beta Build 8) is for 20w18a.

I've completed every advancement in the farming tab, but I have only have 44/46 in the "farming milestone". All hidden ones are done, I've even counted all advancements and there are 46 completed. What's wrong and how do I fix it? Playing on a server btw
