Chimerabot's Realistic Food - Minecraft Datapack

Basics: This datapack is designed as a challenge, and not an easy one at that. Food is central to progression in Minecraft simply because it's one of the only things that lets you recover health automatically. And I've changed that. Many common foods, like bread and golden apples, now have very discouraging debuffs attached, along with a host of other foods like raw meat, sweet berries, and mushroom stew. I'll go over the finer details in the section below.

Debuff Categories: Foods that contain gluten , foods traditionally considered as poisonous, sharp food, raw food, "hallucinogenic" food (more on that later...) and golden food (except enchanted golden apples, which I deemed too valuable to debuff). Gluten consists of bread, cookies, and pumpkin pie. Poisonous food consists of rotten flesh, spider eyes, and poisonous potatoes. Sharp food consists of sweet berries (even when you're just placing them) and pufferfish, which I guess just weren't already bad enough. Raw food consists of any raw meat, including fish. "Hallucinogenic" foods consist of suspicious stew, mushroom stew, and tropical fish. Golden food consists of (unenchanted) golden apples and golden carrots. Each of these debuffs are mostly similar- nausea, poison, hunger, and instant damage are common themes- but gold food just makes you slow. Because that's how it works. Allergy Reminders: Enable allergy reminders (instructions are given at startup) to enhance the experience further! Eating too much of a certain category of food will give you a message in chat reminding you that, probably, you should lay off the nasty stuff. More on that in the video. But as a matter of fact, there's an incentive to eating all this junk food... explained in the next section.

Eclectic Tastes: Eating any of these nasty foods- mix and match if you please- 100 times will get you the advancement Eclectic Tastes, which grants 500 xp points and bragging rights. I mean, who would scoff at eating more than a stack of straight-up poison?
