Congealing Slimes gives slimes of the same size the ability to merge with each other to form larger slimes. This pack doesn't add much difficulty since slimes are so easy to fight anyways, but its very fun to watch and makes slimes as a whole more interesting.

Settings

This pack includes settings you can customize to make your slime fighting experience perfect for you. You can access the setting menu with the command /function slimes:help

Datapack Settings
"Slimes Needed to Congeal"
The amount of slimes of the same size that need to be near each other to form a larger slime.
Default: 2, Range: 2 or higher

"Largest Congealing Size"
The largest size of slime that slimes can congeal into. The vanilla sizes are 0, 1, and 2.
Default: 5, Range: 1 to 11

"Congealing Delay"
The amount of time in ticks (20 ticks per 1 second) before a newly born slime can congeal.
Default: 100 (5 seconds), Range: 0 or higher

Exploitation

With the default amount of needed slimes to congeal (2) it's possible for a large slime to split into 4 small slimes, and for those small slimes to congeal back into 2 larger slimes, effectively duplicating the large slime and the slime balls it drops. If you're concerned about this exploitation, or if you think other people on your server might take advantage of it, I highly recommend changing the setting to something higher like 3 or 4.

Very cool! I could see this becoming chaotic if they could actively search for other slimes and congeal infinitely!

Sounds challenging, but unfortunately changing a mobs AI isn’t possible in datapacks. As for the infinite size, it just didn’t seem practical to implement when the chance of a slime getting that big seems impossible.
