This datapack lets you remove armor trims from an item by tossing the item onto a smithing table, along with 1 diamond. I find it frustrating that with how rare trims are, there is no way to get them back if you want to use a different one on your armor, you just have to let it go to waste. This datapack is meant for vanilla use, so don't be surprised of your modded items aren't returned to you.
Just do you know, I made this datapack before I knew that you could just overwrite armor trims instead of getting stuck with one forever, I'm leaving it posted since it's cool but I recommend vanilla.

Instructions
- Drop your Armor Item onto a Smithing Table
- Drop 1 Diamond onto the table with it as payment
- Your Trim and Material will be separated from the Armor
