deep efficiency is an enchantment that (as the name suggests) increases efficiency for deepslate.
-- how it works --
- mining deepslate will increase the efficiency level on your pickaxe by 1, going up to 3 extra levels maximum.
- not mining deepslate continuously will set the efficiency level back to default.
- the maximum level of efficiency (efficiency V) gets increased to efficiency VIII, which with haste II can instamine deepslate
- this enchantment is incompatible with fortune and silk touch. (please don't try this in survival it still increases the enchantment cost)
- also disenchanting works
-- how to obtain --
- deep efficiency diamond pickaxes are randomly sold by toolsmiths.
- they can also be found in abandoned mineshafts and ancient cities.
-- additional stuff --
- to enchant a diamond/netherite pickaxe with deep efficiency, type: /item modify entity @s weapon.mainhand deepmining:enchant_deep_mining
- if, for whatever reason, this command doesn't work, try: /execute as @s run item replace entity @s weapon.offhand from entity @s weapon.mainhand deepmining:enchant_deep_mining (not sure if any other alternative solutions are possible as i couldn't reproduce the bug, but thank you Cold_r for helping with this)
in case you want to disable the datapack using the /datapack command, it's highly recommended to disable the datapack's features first using /function deepmining:disable command. this will remove the enchantment from villager trades and from the pickaxes in your inventory.
it can be enabled again using /function deepmining:enable.
- also the datapack is compatible with multiplayer now even more
-- feedback --
- as always, if you happen to find a bug or anything that isn't supposed to happen, please let me know in the comments!!!

now it's fixed and should be compatible with 1.19
sorry about that
(and huge thanks to Icarus3923 for pointing it out)
it should be???
just downloaded the pack from here and it's the old version
thanks for pointing it out, i'll fix it real quick
i might make these pickaxes spawn in ancient cities too though
if you copy-pasted the command it should be fine, i tested that too
keep in mind:
the command only applies the enchantment to diamond/netherite pickaxes
the command only applies the enchantment to the diamond/netherite pickaxe in your mainhand
if neither of these are the problem, could you tell me what exactly you did so i can reproduce it?
