Elytra Durability Warning is a simple Datapack for 1.20.2+ made by Oglop (Elytra / Armour low durability warning), edited to warn only about glider armors (like Elytra) and updated by me for recent versions of Minecraft that warns you when your glider armors have low durability.
(Older version : 1.14-1.17.x | 1.18-1.20.1)
⚙️ Functioning
The Datapack can detect any glider armor in any armor slot that has both the glider and max_damage item components.
A warning message in your action bar is shown with the total available durability (when it reaches 20 or less by default) of your equipped glider armors, before you are unable to glide.
It works with one glider armor, several glider armors, or just a vanilla Elytra (with the glider item component).
For the versions before 1.21.2, it detects only an Elytra on the chest armor slot because the glider and equipment item components don't exist before.
For the versions before 1.20.5, it detects only an Elytra with 432 max durability because the max_damage item component doesn't exist before.
When there is no available durability left, the warning message simply says that there is not enough durability.
When you wear only an Elytra, the warning message says "Elytra". When you wear another type of glider armor, it says "glider armor". When you wear several glider armors, even if you wear an Elytra, it says "glider armors".
👤 Players Configs
You can open the Player Configs menu with /trigger edw.player_configs and you can change when the durability warning is displayed and from which minimum durability you are warned.
The command is /trigger minDuraWarn before 1.18.
You can change when the durability warning is displayed between "Always", "When gliding" and "Never" (it's "When not on ground" instead of "When gliding" before 1.21)
You can change from which minimum available durability you are warned (default : 20)

- Any armor with the glider item component, with any durability and from any armor slot can now be detected since the 1.21.2 version
- It shows you the available durability and not the entire durability (if you have only 2 durability in your Elytra, it display 1 because you can't glide with only 1 durability)
- It can detect even you have multiple glider armors and it shows you the total available durability from all the glider armors
Player Configs :
- Added Player Configs that can you access with /trigger edw.player_configs (it's /trigger minDuraWarn before 1.18)
