Experimental Mob AI aims to change the mob behaviour to increase the difficulty.

Experimental Mob AI can be disabled for mobs.
  • Smithed mobs without expai.force_custom_behaviour are not affected.
  • Mobs with expai.ai_changes_disabled are not affected.

Contribution Guidelines

  • Optimization and Efficiency
Code should use most available optimizations, if possible, like macro caching and UUID selectors to gain more performance. TPS matters when mods and other data packs are being used.

Additions

  • Undead mobs can now weave around the player.
  • Witches now give all hostiles within 10 distance, Regeneration I.

Changes

  • Sprint jumping is now way more accurate, jumping straight to the target instead of turning to face the target.
  • Behaviour modes now function similar to Glacier Players where the mob switches between modes, staying on a mode for a period of time.
  • Changed the non_solids block tag to include more blocks.

Optimizations

  • Sprint Jumpers do liquid_check before starting the process.

Fixes

  • Creeper Lunging checks at the wrong position.

Removed

  • Removed the liquids block tag as the liquid_check predicate made it obsolete.
  • Removed expai.creeper_lunged tag in a selector as it was used in the code once.

Zombies can already do this in the form of gap jumping which is not the best at the moment but adding in the ability to dash through gaps will have some conflicts with gap jumping. reply if you want to give more information on this or suggest something else since this is already possible in a different way.

Like i think make them randomly get their speed tripled for 0.1s so they lunge at huge speed
