    IceNslice's Simple Fireflies Minecraft Data Pack

    Simple Fireflies is a lightweight and performance firendly datapack which aims to brings back fireflies to Minecraft. The pack emulates what this feature could have been if Mojang wasn't lazy :


              timer Fireflies will spawn in appropriate biomes at night...
              new_releases ...only if the player is close to vegetation...
              settings ...with fully customisable settings coming soon...
              image ...and a custom ressource pack!


    Please feel free to give me feedback while I work on improving existing and upcoming features. This pack is technically multiplayer compatible though the current system will increase the amount of fireflies with the number of player. I am currently working on finding a solution but commands are giving me a hard time.




    settings Configuration: settings

    To access the configuration menu, use the command:
    << /trigger fireflies.options set 1 >>

    This will open the configuration menu where you will be able to chose wether a setting is turned ON of OFF but clicking [​Yes] [​No] after the setting's description in chat.

    Please note that a ressource pack is needed to obtain the best results while using the datapack. The texture is common to copper block interactions and glow squid ambient effect and could cause compatibility issues with other ressource packs.

    settings Technical:
          - Bug #1 : FIXED : the trigger now works properly and is enabled for everyone by default
      - If your are using an old version, /reload cmd will resolve the issue for all connected players

    The yes/no doesn't seem to work with some other data packs, the link to this page works but the yes no is unclickable

    Works fine on my end... I will look into the issue, what other datapacks do you have installed ?

    The one I found it to not work with is Genesis. It also seems like the auto-enabled isn't working, even just by itself. The fireflies won't show up until I click yes on both

    it says "you cannon trigger this objective yet" when i try doing the trigger cmd

    Thx for pointing it out ! The issue is fixed but if you don't want to redownload the whole thing, just /reload your world and it will fix the issue for all connected players
