Intricate Trees [Tech Demo]

First proper datapack since... February? Wow, it's been awhile.

Intricate Trees adds fancy custom trees to your world! These trees replace the regular oak and birch ones found in the Flower Forest biome.

You may be wondering why this is a tech demo given that packs like Arboria already have implemented more intricate trees years before this point. Well, Intricate Trees uses a new method for creating custom trees. This new method has two key advantages over others:

1: No feature spam. For packs like Arboria to work, they will spam dozens of placements of tree pieces to try and get them in the right position. While this brute-force method is good enough for some cases, it's not very performant. Intricate Trees doesn't do this, meaning the performance is almost identical to vanilla rather than being several times slower.
2: Consistency. If a tree base is placed, the whole tree will be built. There's no risk of half-constructed trees that don't finish placing due to feature spam not working.
