Features:
Mobs have new variants through custom heads or through hidden vanilla mobs!
No Resource pack needed!

Supported Entities:
Zombies, Husks, Drowned, Skeletons, Strays, Wither Skeletons, Mooshrooms, Illusioners

To exclude an entity, give it the tag exclude

To check for updates use/trigger menuand hit the Check for Updates button. There is also a Reset and an Uninstall button.

Hey, I really love this datapack, makes vanilla seem much more diverse. I was wondering though if there's a way to prevent the mobs from spawning with custom heads in the nether. I have another datapack that retextures mobs for the nether and they're spawning with the customheads from this datapack over the skins from the custom resourcepack. Thanks!

There is sadly no easy way to disable custom heads for specific mobs right now

Yes, I made it using custom heads (the brown mooshrooms and illusioners already exist in vanilla, but just don't get used in vanilla gameplay)

How is this different from "Rare Mobs" Datapack - they look almost the same and update around the same date?

I did not know about this data pack until now. It looks like it has way more possible variants and supported mobs than mine but the way the mobs are spawned differs a lot from what More Mobs does. In my data pack the mobs transform into a random variant when they spawn and only when they spawn, in the Rare Mobs data pack every 30 seconds a random mob within a distance of 40 to 64 blocks around one player will be transformed into a variant.
The only other difference that could exist is that More Mobs takes the block the entity is spawned on and decides a variant from that, so it kinda takes biomes into consideration. I don't know if Rare Mobs does this as well.


Edit: It looks like they work together, so for the best experience just use both ;)
