If you have any ideas for animations, send them to me.

Features:
Mobs dig out of the ground or poof into existence when they spawn.

Works with:
Zombies, Zombie Villagers, Husks, Drowned, Skeletons, Strays, Spiders, Cave Spiders, Creepers, Vexes, Witches, Pillagers, Evokers, Vindicators, Illusioners, Slimes, Magma Cubes, Wither Skeletons, Hoglins, Zombified Piglins, Striders, Enderman, Endermites and Giants.

It does not affect the vanilla gameplay, since the entities that have not yet come out of the ground are only invisible and silent.

If you want to exclude an entity you can use the tag "exclude".

The exclude tag is meant for summoned mobs that serve a specific purpose for map-making. To exclude a whole mob type you should unzip the data pack and remove the pillager from the JSON files located in spawnanmiations/data/spawnanmiations/tags/entity_types/...

Yes, you can edit the json files in the datapack (spawnanmiations/data/spawnanmiations/tags/entity_types/...)
One person on the internet asked me at some point to make this data pack as lag free as possible. In my opinion I did a pretty good job. (He never payed me)

Hi Tschipo, I have noticed that mobs are sometimes visible from a long distance but come out of the ground when we approach them, as if they had not yet spawned. Guess there is no way to fix this due to minecraft limitations?

I use a few mods but none change mob spawn or even piglins

Yeah, that's a limitation of this data pack. Right now I use the invisibility effect to make the mobs invisible. Unfortunately, armour does not become invisible with it.
I have a theoretical solution (save the armour somewhere and give it at the end of the animation with data modify), but it will probably be laggy. I could try it out at some point, though.

Modded mobs should work if they are present in one of the json files located in /data/spawnanimations/tags/entity_types/...

Note: For the only poof animation to work, the mobs must be present in normal_animation.json

I love the idea behind the data pack. Is there any update planned for 1.16.5? As for animations, the Endermen could be "dropped" into the world from end portal blocks, say 3 blocks from the ground, so there's a little fall for them as they appear.

I would suggest that you make the bones of a skeleton come from the ground then float upwards to form together. For a spider, maybe it growing from an egg and it breaks through? zombie is ok. Eh, IDK anything else.

That depends on the mod. But most entities should theoretically work. I could add the animations to every single entity (excluding the player, items, ... ofc) to add support for most mods. But I could also add these animations to specific entities in specific mods.
Which mod would you like to see getting support?

I think it was bad idea to add those animations for piglins. Now they are invisible expect their equipment until you come closer to them.

Honestly, I think of Piglins as Nether Villagers, so they shouldn't really have the animations for spawning. There should be a setting for the people who want it though.

Love the concept, the datapack its self is quite heavy on TPS. Disabling it shows TPS quickly restores its self from 14tps to 20. Is there any ways you can improve this/have suggestions to change in the files?

The datapack is great, but i noticed that spiders take 1 dmg point right before being completely out of the ground (I have a health bar/indicator). Is this known, or can it be fixed? Thanks!
