Level 32 : Artisan Engineer
This data pack requires OptiFine. None of the mob textures or models work without it. Please make sure you have installed the latest release of OptiFine corresponding to the game version before playing "More Mobs".​

This data pack currently adds 20 mobs to the game. In the final release there will be 3 new bosses, 6 new structures, a plenty of new items and a total of 60 mobs. You can find out more by visiting our official wiki or watching this video.

This data pack has not been updated to 1.17 yet, so please don't try to play it in that version. If you have any questions/concerns you can reach out to me on Discord or Twitter.

i cant seem to get it working for 1.16.5. its technically working but none of the custom textures and models are there. i am indeed using optifine and everything is unzipped. i also tried redownloading both the resource pack and the datapack but still nothing :(
hopefully theres a fix because it seems super cool

Hey, so I was looking at the way you got the different textures for the different mobs, and I was wondering, how exactly does it work? So I've seen you used the optifine thing which allows you to change the texture based on name (exmaple from your resource pack: "name.1=iregex:(�2Miner|.* g0)"). I wanted to mainly ask, how exactly does this work with the multiple languages, and what the "|.* g0" thing is? I was trying to look online, but wasn't really able to find anything, and hoped you might be able to help. Thanks in advance :)

Hello, sorry for the late response. I put the same values in the language files, mainly in en_us. the weird symbols I can't really explain, all I know is that it doesn't work without them. Ask OptiFine.

You can apply the same mob texture/model on different names, and have them be for multiple languages, but unfortunately it has a limit so I don't use it. Otherwise I would make it so that the mob names were translated in all languages in-game as well.
