Please note: If you upgrade this datapack from 1.19 or below to 1.20, and you're using the resource pack, the textures from the old items don't work anymore. This is happening because the CustomModelData of all items have changed, making my datapacks more compatible with datapacks from other creators.
Pre-written Books is a Datapack for Minecraft 1.18 to 1.20. The Datapack adds pre-written books to the game which you can craft using a Book and Quill with an item related to the story. there are 12 books in total, of which there are six written by Pastor Kent, one by Magical and five by myself.
A number of stories from Pastor Kent can be found on his website. There are also a few books he has written, but not published, that are in this Datapack, like Tick Tock and Irony.
There is a Resource Pack which you can use for this Datapack, but this is optional. The Datapack adds new textures for every book. Do you want your book in the Datapack? contact me and we'll take a look!
Steve is mining and finds a mineshaft in Reckless Abandon. When a cave spider attacks him, he regrets he didn't bring his sword with him on this expedition. The book has 50 pages. Throw these items on a bookshelf to make Reckless Abandon:
In Nether or Naught, a player creates a Nether Portal for the first time. After returning to the Overworld, they find themselves in a cave underground. This book has 51 pages. Throw these items on a bookshelf to make Nether or Naught:
A player sees her carrots have disappeared in Escaping Ender, for which she almost died to get. When finding out an Enderman stole the dirt block underneath, she decides to take revenge. This book has 52 pages. Throw these items on top of a bookshelf to make Escaping Ender:
In The Siege, a player decides to spend the night in a village. A zombie siege starts during night time. The player has to protect the village and gets his help from an Iron Golem. This book has 52 pages. Throw these items on a bookshelf to make The Siege:
Steve gets too little daylight in Tick Tock because of his underground base. That's when he decides to make a clock. When entering the mines, the expedition seems to be more dangerous than he thought. The book has 51 pages. Throw these items on top of a bookshelf to make Tick Tock:
Steve makes an Iron Golem Farm in the desert in Irony. He made a huge mistake when he broke his iron shovel. This book has 51 pages. Throw these items on top of a bookshelf to make Irony:
In Music Disc, a player is exploring the caves in the hopes of finding diamonds. When they find a dungeon instead, the trip becomes a lot more dangerous all of a sudden. This book had 32 pages. Throw these items on a bookshelf to make Music Disc:
A player gets a near-death experience in Totem. They decide to go to a Woodland Mansion to get a Totem of Undying. The vindicators, evokers and vexes make the exploration anything but safe. The book has 41 pages. Throw these items on a bookshelf to make Totem:
A raid has been started by accident in The Raid, after a player enters a village. Its the players job to win the raid. This book has 35 pages. Throw these items on a bookshelf to make The Raid:
In Ship a player wants an elytra. It doesn't take long until they find out what needs to happen to get one. The player begins their adventure: to get blaze rods, find the portal to The End en defeat the Ender Dragon. All of this gives the player their most dangerous journey yet. This book has 101 pages. Throw these items on a bookshelf to make Ship:
A player has everyting they need in Netherite. Well, until they find out about Netherite. The player decides to go on one last journey, to go into the Nether and get the mineral. This book has 48 pages. Throw these items on top of a bookshelf to make Netherite:

This datapack had two Command Block Creation equivalents, where you had to give a book a certain name to get a Pre-written Book.

There is an unused story named 'The Loop', written by me. This book was so bad I wasn't able to salvage it.
All of my books can be placed in the same universe. The stories are independent from each other, but you can also read them in the order of this page.
Magical is the first player who sent his story after publishing the datapack.
