Remove Hostile Mobs In Area
Minecraft v1.19.3 (February 19, 2023)
About Data Pack
Ever wanted an area that had no hostile Mobs? This datapack uses a book that will create Protection Areas in which hostile mobs will be removed. So stop placing torches all over that awesome castle and just create a protection area. The protection area text can be disabled, if you want to hide the protection area text from view, by using the book. Mobs that won't be removed are invulnerable mobs within .6 blocks from a minecart or mobs within 5 blocks from a boat. I have 5 blocks from boats because the mobs will take damage in a boat if restricted to a closer range due to the speed of ice boats.
How To Get The Item
Chat Command
/trigger RHM_book
How To Use
This book will create Protection Areas in which hostile mods will be teleported to the Void. Run setup from the book first to select which mobs to disable in the next created area. Then click on the links in the book to create or destroy protection areas.
To Install
Just place the *.zip file at \AppData\Roaming\.minecraft\saves\*world*\datapacks\ don't extract them from the zip file (not needed).
To Uninstall
/function no_hostile_mob_area:uninstall
Non-Licensed

I'm not a dev, but the DP discord mentions the new marker entity, and how you can use a predicate for IDs instead of executeifscorecard$yid stuff. I can link you too details of that helps
Dumb confirmation - distance is measured in spherical radius distance rather than a cylinder from bedrock to sky? Not a problem, just used to 'zones' being more a 2D map term.
And again - thanks 👍😁💚
DP server discord.gg/SnJQcfq and they have a specific channel #🚀optimisation-tricks particularly 30-may user rx97 lists the predicate and they discuss it. That particular channel isn't for help, so it only has a few posts per month and they do nerdy performance comparisons of different techniques 😜 many potential nuggets of gold and crunchy details
I hope it helps 😁
This is a great datapack, although would it possible to add more options such as removing Ghasts and Magma Cubes? I am trying to build on the roof of the nether and they keep spawning and making trouble. Another handy addition if possible could be an indicator of the area of effect. Otherwise an awesome datapack!
