This data pack allows you to sit down everywhere you want using /trigger Sit!

How to Use:
/trigger Sit

To dismount, just press your sneak key, which is shift by default.
Note that it only works in 23w03a and newer snapshots.

Some performance improvements (tick file execution + radius in which the sit armor stand gets removed)

Hi, instead of typing the command you could make sure that by licking twice quickly to lower yourself he sits down!!

I'm limited to just typing /sit, is that possible?

You cannot do custom commands like /sit in vanilla, however if you're using Bukkit or a fork of it you can add an alias for it in the commands.yml file.
Your other suggestion is out of scope for this, esp. as I've seen others implement automatic sitting.

No, simply google for a tutorial on how to use the commands.yml file, it's really simple.
