The skyblock upgrade datapack adds in several machines that are particularly useful in skyblock (or vanilla survival if you wish) It makes some items that were previously unobtainable, obtainable.
Mechanical Crafting Table:
To craft the mechanical crafting table, you need 3 cobblestone, 2 cobblestone slabs, 2 smooth stone, a stone pressure plate, and a crafting table. The mechanical crafting table can be made in the vanilla crafting table.

The Mechanical Crafting Table can then be placed down on the ground like a normal block (note: these blocks have a limit, you cannot place one within 50 blocks of another, but attempting to do so will not break anything). To pick it back up you can mine it with anything, including your fist.
The mechanical crafting table can be used to craft everything in this pack, all recipes are shown above
Sieve:
To craft a sieve, you need 2 sticks, a string, and 3 slabs. It is crafted in the Mechanical Crafting Table.
The Sieve can then be placed down on the ground like a normal block. To pick it back up you can mine it with anything, including your fist.
To use the sieve, throw sand, red sand, gravel, or dirt at it. It will place the item you throw in it into the sieve. Now, right click the sieve on it's hit box and watch the block lower into the grate. When the block is lowered fully into the grate, it will disappear, and an item will pop out for you to take, then you can repeat the process!
Items That Can be received from using a sieve:

- From Gravel, Sand, and Red Sand: - Clay Ball (25%), Gunpowder (10%), Gold Nugget (15%), Iron Nugget (25%), Coal (25%)

- From Dirt: - Bone Meal (50%), Wheat Seeds (10%), Potato (5%), Carrot (5%), Stick (15%), Random Sapling (10%), Name Tag (1%) , Diamond (2%), Emerald (2%)
------
Compost Box:
To craft a compost box, you need 2 oak slabs, 2 sticks, 1 hoe, and one dirt (recipe shown above). It can be crafted in the Mechanical Crafting Table
The Sieve can then be placed down on the ground like a normal block. To pick it back up you can mine it with anything, including your fist.
The compost box is the main source of dirt that you will use for skyblock. To use it, you place it down, throw any leaf block onto it, and right click it until the leaf block disappears. Every 8 leaf blocks the compost box consumes, you will receive one piece of dirt!
Loot Bags System:
Loot bags can be obtained from any common hostile mob. They have a 5% chance of replacing the mob's normal drops. Each loot bag can be held and right clicked to be opened. It will give you a random set of loot from it's loot pool.
There are 5 types of loot bags. There are common, uncommon, rare, epic, and legendary loot bags. common-epic loot bags can also be crafted into the next tier up loot bag if 4 are combined in a square in the Mechanical Crafting Table.
Legendary Loot Tools:

Legendary loot tools are tools with a custom texture that drop from legendary loot bags. You can get a sword, pickaxe, shovel, or axe. They come pre-enchanted with random level 30 enchantments, and each tool has +1 knockback resistance when held, except the sword, which does 3 more damage than a normal diamond sword, and swings faster. The pickaxe, axe, and shovel are otherwise equivalent to diamond tools.
