    Have you ever wanted extra health, but not all of those hearts taking up your screen. Now introducing SPHealth! This datapack not only lets players display extra hearts as a number instead of cluttering the screen with visual hearts, but it also allows them to increase their maximum health and regeneration speed using certain items or effects.

    [Note: Compatible with SPClimate and Resource Pack is only needed for items and SPClimate Bar, not standard health bar]

    For reference any time "Vitality" is mentioned going forward that is the amount that you regenerate every 2 minutes when you have 20+ health. The amount of "Vitality" you have and the time it takes to regenerate can change based on various factors.

    Factors that affect "Vitality"

    Lowers "Vitality" denoted with "-", Raises "Vitality denoted with "+"
    "Vitality" changes are determined by how much you have, the numbers +/- below just show how bad the effect given is
    Oh and all of these effects can stack

    (- ? Different calculation) Loss of Hunger = Lower Vitality

    (-1) Being in the End Dimension

    (+1) Standing on any flower other than Wither Rose

    (-1) Standing on Wither Rose

    (-1) Standing in Water (Negated by Water Breathing)

    (+2) Standing/Laying on bed

    (-1 -> -9) Afflicted with Poison (Worse the Higher the Level)

    (-2 -> -10) Afflicted with Wither (Worse the Higher the Level)

    (-2) Standing on Magma Block (Negated with Fire Resistance)

    (-3) Head in Water or Standing in Lava (Negated by Water Breathing/Fire Resistance respectively)

    (-3) Being in Nether Dimension

    (-5) Head in Lava (Negated by Fire Resistance)

    (-7) Standing on Soul Sand/Soil (Negated by Soul Speed Enchanted Boots)

    (+1 -> +5) Standing near a Beacon

    (+7) Standing on or 1 block above a Beacon

    Potion Effect Changes

    * Health Boost:
      Effect will clear and increase your Max HP based on how strong the effect is.

    * Absorption:
      Effect will clear and has a chance to increase your Vitality if it is less than your Vitality Cap (1/15th your Max HP)
      Higher the level of effect, the higher the chance and the more Vitality you may gain.

    * Regeneration:
      Decreases time it takes to regenerate.

    * Poison/Wither:
      It will still damage you as usual and, in addition, will temporarily decrease your ‘Vitality’ based on the level of Poison or Wither.

    * Water Breathing/Fire Resistance:
      It will still negate damage as usual and, in addition, will prevent the ‘Vitality’ reduction caused by standing in water or lava

    Killing a certain amount of each Undead mob will drop "Decayed Hearts"

    "Decayed Hearts" have a chance to grant the following effects (can be stacked if chances "line up"):
    * 80% Health Boost 1 (Effect is cleared and then increased Max HP accordingly)
    * 25% Health Boost 2 (Effect is cleared and then increased Max HP accordingly)
    * 50% Nausea 1 for 20 seconds
    * 20% Blindness 1 for 15 Seconds
    * 20% Poison 2 for 15 seconds
    * 5% Wither 2 for 30 seconds

    Withers and Ender Dragons have a chance of dropping multiple "Golden Hearts"

    "Golden Hearts" have a chance to grant the following effects (can be stacked if chances "line up"):
    * 100% Health Boost 1
    * 75% Health Boost 2
    * 100% Absorption 2 (Has a chance to increase Vitality, if it is less than your Vitality Cap)

    Since players have more health, the game had to become at least a bit more difficult. There is now a chance of certain mobs turning into "hordes", which basically means one may spawn and them spawn several more at the same spot.

    One second you may have 1 zombie, then it becomes 15 zombies. About every 10 minutes, and only happens once at a random player. The more players online the less likely it will happen to you.

    The mob that spawns the "Horde" becomes a "Horde Captain" and displays a boss bar. This "Horde Captain" is made stronger than the others and gives buffs to near by mobs of the same type until killed. Some extra loot is dropped for killing a "Horde Captain".

    Horde Mob Default

    Zombie - 15

    Spider - 10

    Cave Spider - 5
    Husk - 7

    Skeleton - 3
    Stray - 3

    Creeper - 2 (Special Case, lightning also strikes and makes them charged within 40 blocks of player.) [No Horde Captain]

    This should allow me to lay the ground work for a new version of "LeveledMobs" / "Custom Boss Mobs" or something like that in the future. Just need to make sure players have enough health first before hitting them with huge damage.

    Resistance Buff to negate insta-kills : by GetSirius55 09/08/2024 3:43:21 pmSeptember 8, 2024 @ 7:43 pm UTC

    While you may now have extra health Fall Damage and Explosions still resulted in insta-kills. This should happen less often now. Higher levels of resistance granted to negate those particular insta-kills. Only lasts while the threat lingers.
