Sparkles allows you to add visual effects to decorate your builds. Almost easy to use, tons of particles!


info Despite being optimized to hide the particle if no player is around, it is recommended to not stack too much sparkles in the same area. Lags will depends on your computer/server power, and the render distance of the sparkles. Find the best balance for you.

Creation Process

  • Go to the place where you want to add a spotlight.
  • Point your character in the direction you want to install the spotlight (some spots are using orientation).
  • Open the chat and type: /function sparkle:create/[…]
  • Choose your spot, then press “enter".
An ingame demo is available, use:
/function fksk:options/demo

Remove a spot

To remove a spot, stay close to the center of the spot (where you placed it) and use:
/function sparkle:remove/[...]choose the removal distance from 1 to 5.


How to

Use commands & functions
  • Open your chat and start with /function sparkle:
  • Chose to "create", "edit" or "remove"
  • You can write the command, or use the ARROW-KEYS to naviguate up and down
  • Press TAB on the command line to auto-complete
  • Press ENTER to send the command
Specific render distance for a spot (Patreon version)
You can force a spot to render by applying a score on it.
Stay as close as possible to the center of the spot, then use:
/function sparkle:edit/force_render/[nearest|block|chunk]/[1-9][​nearest|block|chunk] : chose your targets
[​1-9] or 99 : chose the RenderDistance level to apply
Global render distance (Patreon version)
Make sure to upgrade the render distance only if your computer can handle it.(default is 3. Range [​1-5]. 99 for unlimited.)
This option act as a default render distance.
/scoreboard players set global.render_distance fksk.options 3
Specific render distance for a player (Patreon version)
You also can define the render distance for each player individualy, depending of their computer limitations.
This option act as an individual overwriting render distance.
/scoreboard players set PLAYER_NAME fksk.render 2

This data pack is a must for the rest of my life lol and I was wondering this was working in 1.20.1 but at 1.21.1 it no longer works is it possible to get a version that works in 1.21.1 <3

1.21.5+ is up to download =)

There is no 1.21.0 - 1.21.4, because Mojang broke everything on every updates. I won't bother to dev specific version, sorry :/
Anyway, I hope you'll enjoy it!

Do you know what we would need to delete in a texture pack that is overriding how the sparkles look? I am using Mizunos16craft and it makes the sparkles with the endrod stuff thin and not as glowy orby cute but idk what textures to delete so it doesn't override. Very cute mod ty!

you can look into the ressource pack and delete the end particle, named "glitter".
Path: assets/minecraft/textures/particle/glitter[1-7]
