    It gives you tools to build your own Mario galaxy levels in Minecraft !

    You will find :

    • All the Power Stars
    • The Launch Star
    • The Checkpoints
    • The pipes
    • The costumes (caps, ghost)
    • The Star bits
    • The lumas

    • A LOT of custom sounds
    If you're lost in the building of you levels, you can give yourself two books :
    • Build helper
    • Mob helper

    You are free to share my datapack (for exemple with videos) but only if I get credits !

    (Not sure if you will see this anytime soon since latest post on this thread was 3 months ago, but might as well give it a shot)

    So the mod is pretty good! However i've noticed an issue with launch stars:

    When I create a bunch of launch stars in nearby proximity, they initially work as intended. However, if I leave the game and return, then using some launch stars will end up taking me to all the different path points from all the launch stars. Doesn't happen with all the launch stars, only a select few; however, this issue is causing my launch stars to become unusable (and they end up throwing me into the void).

    In other words, a launch star that was given a specific path is no longer following that path, but rather it takes me across basically all of the paths from all nearby launch stars.

    Is there any way to avoid / fix this issue?



    On another note, if i want to test my levels and collect the stars, I'm forced to replace the stars manually - is there a way to reset them quickly so I don't have to keep putting them back after each test?

    Thank you for getting interested with my datapack ! It's been a year now since I last updated it for 1.14 :/ I discovered this issue a long time ago but, then, I was too busy with school to fix it. I'm panning to make a sort of "last update" for fixing it. (I can't tell you when because I have no idea yet).

    If you wanna avoid this issue, You can use the launch stars in the same loaded chunks, or it will not connect them to each other, sadly.

    By saying "collect the stars" you mean the silver stars ? Sadly there are no way now, but I will add one for sure !

    So in other words, if I want to stop the launch stars from transporting me to the wrong paths, I need to only have one launch star per chunk? I'll try it out!

    Also, is this issue present on 1.14? I'm using 1.16.

    Then, you'll be able to have books. They will help you to build your levels !

    I'm permanently stuck in the launch star effects. I don't know what I did but I always have the same three effects and I can't turn them off. I've tried reloading the datapack and nothing changed. How can I fix this?

    Hi, sorry it's a very common bug. To fix it you can do : /tag @s list
    If you have LAUNCHPLAYER just do /tag @s remove LAUNCHPLAYER

    Salut je suis un grand fan de ton mod mais j'ai un gros problème
    J'ai tenté de créer une map Super mario galaxy 3 mais les launch star ne marchaient pas alors je me suis que j'allais juste la mettre en tant que decoration et que j'allais declencher le tp avec une commande /execute
    La commande en question : execute if entity @a[​x=,y=,z=] run tp x y z
    Cependant j'ai oublié que la launching star compte comme une entité et etant donné qu'elle a ces coordonnés la je me retrouve toujours tp sur le meme bloc sans pouvoir bouger.
    As tu une idée ? J'ai tenté d'utiliser mcedit pour desactiver le command block mais il n'arrive pas a charger le datapack et le /kill @e ne veut pas tuer la launching star
    Merci d'avance, ma map etait bien avancé !

    Salut ! merci de prêter autant d’intérêt à mon datapack !
    Si je comprends tu as voulu target toutes les joueurs (@a) s'ils sont à un certain x y et z.
    A vrai dire je ne comprends pas pourquoi tu te retrouves à être tp en boucle si tu n'es plus target par la commande si tu n'es plus à ces coordonnées (le launch star étant une entité mais pas un joueur)
    As-tu utilisé un command block pour ajouter cet execute ? ou un datapack ?

    hey there! big fan of your stuff, specifically this datapack. i use it on a private server of mine, where i sometimes invite people over to make some levels. problem is, there are a few things that don't work correclty in multiplayer and some features that'd just be cool to have.




    so, i'm here to... tell you that i added those features myself! hope you don't mind if i went ahead and modified a bit of stuff. nothing's public and it's still unfinished, but i'd love to share what i got with you sometime!



    if you're curious about what i've done, here's a little list of some of the major changes:



    - more or less combined it with your mario galaxy hud (i.e. making running out of lives reset checkpoints, making black holes actually take away from your lives, making star bits add to star bit counter, etc)

    - added max shroom and 1-up shroom with placeholder models that i will never be able to replace lmao

    - added basic coins that also use placeholder models

    - fixed some multiplayer issues
    - fixed some bugs and oversights

    - world-/server-global counters for power stars and grand stars

    - removed some actionbar stuff here and there to make the hud work properly

    - made a few changes to bee mario, including a new boss health-bar based flight meter

    - added little chat messages for when you get a power-up for the first time
    - respawning enemies, so you can have multiple levels that you can re-experience with their enemies




    that's the basic stuff at the moment anyways. like i said, i'd love to share what i got sometime, but until then i hope you have a great day

    It's been 8 months since I last worked on this datapack because I no longer felt the desire to continue, but what you're saying is just fantastic ! I really like the ideas and fixes you've added into the pack and if you want to add more, just go ahead !
    Before I stopped, I was planning to rebuild the code and the mecanics in general to make the pack less "heavy". For exemple the use of armor stands is effective but it's an entity, and the more we have entities, the more it's laggy :/
    If you have ideas about how to have features like power up, mushrooms etc. without using armor stands or entities, it would be super cool !
    And show me those features you're talking about ! :D

    i'll try getting around to recording some footage of it later today. i'm happily suprised that the lag is because of armor stands and not because of my server host i've been using for testing purposes. sadly, this is the first time i have actually done anything datapack-related, heck, anything close to a minecraft creation that's more than the really basic /say command-blocks i used back in 1.8. i'm planning on experimenting with datapacks a bit more soon-ish, so i can get more of a feel of what's possible and what isn't. the best idea i have for fixing the lag at the moment is just making the power-up durations shorter as well as the bee flight and some cooldowns, but that doesnt fix other issues, sadly. though it would be a starting point.

    sorry for not replying for so long. i tend to easily switch between what i'm working on. one moment i'm doing one thing, the next i'm doing another. i'll try getting around to recording the thing i promised relatively soon. just figured i'd say something instead of going completely radio silent.

    Great mod, but when I spawn your mobs, they despawn after a few time (or they just fall and die, I dunno). How can I manage to keep they alive?

    Also, how can we defeat boo's?

    Thanks ! For the mobs, you can create a trap with the mob's egg in it that can get triggered when the player is around
    For the boo, they are afraid of light, so put a torch on a wall and add an item frame, it will create a "kill zone"

    To remove any entities from the datapack, hold a stone block in your hand and walk through the entity to remove it.
    How many block do you suggest for the suction?

    I doubt it's only me, but I think this has a lot of potential for a lot of things. Very good work, I just wish this were more popular like it should be. It'd be really cool to see this in a map. I dunno if this is a nice comment or mean or whatever since i've never been good at saying things. Basically, i'm trying to say it's good and it deserves more than what it has right now. You did a very good job. I found a few glitches that will effect gameplay but that's probably how i'm placing everything. When you get hit by mobs, I glitch through the floor and i'm on a world that's one block tall lol. Also, when I spin at an enemy, maybe it's specifically Bowser, he glitches through the floor. Like I said, it's probably where and how i'm placing stuff. Very good, needs barely any work, cya.

    Petit problème. Je n'arrive pas à faire fonctionner les Launch Stars . Quand j'en créée une, le jeu ne me dis rien. j'ai fait comme dans la video d'agentGB mais rien ne marche... Wtf.

    EDIT : WTF ok maintenant c'est redevenu a la normale ok...

    Tu peux voir l'utilisation dans la vidéo de agentgb. Avec le livre build helper, Tu choisis launch star. En suite un message va apparaître. Lorsque tu veux créer un point de passage simple là où tu es, tu cliques sur "path". Quand tu veux finir le chemin et rendre le launch star fonctionnel, tu cliques sur "end path"

    J'ai un gros problème, je suis a la fin de la création de la map et j'ai mes launcher star qui se sont tous relié, je les ai tous supprimer mais maintenant mon personnage flotte sans pouvoir se remettre a terre , et des que je me give quelque chose il se supprime de mon inventaire :/ sa me frustre un peu si jamais je n'arrive pas a me remettre car c'est plusieurs jours de travail :/

    Pour les launch star peut-être que c'est à cause des marker et end marker qui n'ont pas été supprimés.
    Tient dans ta main un block de stone et passe en mode spectator. En suite essaie de trouver tout les marker que tu as pu placer.
    Pour les items qui se suppriment je ne sais pas ce que ça peut être mais fait un /reload peut-être que ça ira mieux

    Ou alors Fait /tag @s list et s'il y a le tag LAUNCHPLAYER fait /tag @s remove LAUNCHPLAYER

    Bonjour j'ai voulu placer un trou noir, le problème étant que quand le Star Launcher pour aller a un autre lieu, le trou noire m'aspire et m'empêche d'atteindre la destination ou me fait suffoquer, donc j'aimerais savoir si il y avais pas un moyen de supprimer un trou noir une fois qu'il a étais placer
