This data pack gives the player the heads of mobs they kill, when they deal the killing blow with a Golden Axe. It supports all varieties of animals, and villager professions!

The kill detection and head giving operate without affecting any loot tables, so it won't conflict with any other data pack that modifies loot tables.

For some reason it only gives me steve heads named after the creatures?

Please make sure that you're using Minecraft 1.16+, and that your client and server (if you're using one) are both vanilla.

Can you maybe make it so it works for all axes better than iron (including iron and gold still)???

I can, but I won't. I'd like to give gold tools more uses, and this is one way to make the golden axe more useful.
