Braytonk's Updated Nether Fortress

This datapack revamps the vanilla Nether Fortress structure in the following ways:
  • Visually updated bridges and rooms for nicer looking structures
  • Better interesting passageway and room generation for more interesting exploration
  • A guaranteed nether wart room in all fortressess
Otherwise, the chest loot, mob spawns, and structure location remain the same, as to make the datapack as vanilla-friendly as possible.

I get some error that kills the perf when generating nether with version 1.6:
17:57:35-17:57:42 WARN: Empty or non-existent pool: keeb_struc_fortress:pillars
WARN: Empty or non-existent pool: keeb_struc_fortress:bridges

Beside that, good datapack :)

The 'Empty or non-existent pool' warnings should be fixed in version 1.7.

Unfortunately, I don't think that this was a significant cause of the slow generation performance. I'm still working on ways to improve the structure's generation performance with the tools that datapacks have available.

Varied and well-designed. The idea of placing the Wither spawning room above the entrance structure is really good. I also wouldn't mind if the chest contents were altered—though the unchanged, original contents are fine as well. From a design standpoint, however, I feel the white bone blocks used as beams inside the buildings are out of place. I have no objection to having support beams in the buildings per se, but the white color stands out too starkly against the rest of the Nether Fortress, which is predominantly dark reddish-hued—almost burgundy.

Rarely do i ever see structure reworks for old structures that I feel successfully capture the feel of modern vanilla. I really appreciate this! The only nitpicks i have is that i feel like there is too much cracked brick and it just kinda looks like noise, and that sometimes I could find floating bridge structures. I love the diegetic Wither room by the way that detail rocks!

I'm glad you liked it, and thank you for your feedback! I'll see if I can make sure that the bridge sections aren't floating.
