Hello PMCers!!
It's been a long time coming, but it's FINALLY HERE! We present to you PMC's new Minecraft SKIN EDITOR – PMCSkin3D!!!
It's the most advanced editor you'll find! There are SO many features, including mirror mode, custom brushes & the ability to import palettes. I'll spare the characters and link to the PMCSkin3D Help & Tips Page. This covers the basics like how to create, edit, save & publish skins and also covers the powerful details like paint brushes, brush strokes & brush modes. The best way to familiarize yourself with it, is to play around! Works on mobile, too!

This is the Beta version! Use this forum post to ask questions if you can't find the answers on the Help & Tips Page. Feedback and ideas are welcomed. Suggestions can be made below, or even better, through a ticket!

I may have to test this thoroughly and make a lot of skins, DONT STOP ME!

There is 1 thing I would really like to see. Right now I have to do each side of a body part, let's say legs separately. I would love it if I could do both at the same time through a cloning (or something else). Maybe I missed it.....

You're in luck! Open up "Mirror" and switch this toggle to "Across Limbs"

I've been using NovaSkin to make skins

I don't use NovaSkin, I use Skindex, but now I use skindex and the PMC editor!! XD

I am not able to access it. I press the "START!" button to no avail.

Are you on desktop or mobile? Which browser? (Chrome, Firefox, Safari, Edge)

Strange, I'm using Chrome on Linux and we've tested on every browser. Edge was slow but all others were fine. Anyone else having the same issue with the start button, not... starting?

Press Ctrl+Shift+J to open the JS console, and then press Start. See if any red lines show up after pressing Start; if so, paste them here please!

this looks pretty good compared to the skin editors i've used before, i have always used the same one but this looks so good i might have to switch

Great job designing the upgraded version of the MCSkin3D! This is a massive step towards a more immersive skinning system and I'm absolutely loving what you guys have done with this so far. This will for sure become my go-to skinning site specially when it comes to shading! Great job PMC.

No with a flickering shade of sort of. Paril created MCSkin3D and he's now the main developer of PMCSkin3D with support from myself on user interface design, added features and funding. There are no plans to update MCSkin3D, while we will be updating and supporting PMCSkin3D going forward.
We felt because of this, naming it PMCSkin3D was a natural choice but they are not the same thing.

I can't quite use it on my phone but it might be because of my small screen and my big chubby fingers XD
But I would definitelly switch to this when I will make another skin.
it's clear too see so much passion went into this , and that some people that really liked skinning came up with this cool ideas.

Will we ever get a downloadable version of the editor to work offline?

PMCSkin3D editor should work offline but you'd first need to load it while online. So if you have a mobile device (phones, tablets, laptops) and lose connectivity, you can continue to work without ever worrying about losing your progress. There are no plans for a downloadable version of the editor. It took considerable time & resources to develop this app we want it to remain free. The ads on the site allow us to develop, maintain and support the app and the community.

I really like it, so far. I last used MCskin3D, the original tool by Paril. This is really an improvement, making a decent skin is now very easy.

Haha ,good! That was the goal; make it the best Minecraft skin editor. There are still several major features currently planned to make it even better.
To name a few:
Pose Mode: Getting one-click default pose options, custom member saved poses, easier posing controls.
2D View : Ability to view & edit the 2D flat skin.
Layers : Option to add multiple transparent layers that overlay to produce the final body or armor layer.

ooooh, the layers sound interesting. Are you planning to make those layers in such a way that they can be 'overlaid', 'multiplied' etc, using methods comparable to those of GIMP?

Would you consider adding in a feature for increasing/decreasing skin resolution? If so please fix an issue that MCskin3d has where if you load a higher or lower than normal resolution skin then it would display wrong and messed up.
