hey! i’m quinn, I’m just your average trans guy making mc skins to kill boredom B) i also love art, botany, & fantasy and i’m v passionate about the environment! Interview! CrescentLune Aquarine 1. Why did you decide to start making skins? I got MC in 2016 and joined a friend's server, they'd made their own skin w/ another editor and i thought it'd be rlly cool to try making skins myself! I went looking for a place to make skins on, I made a bunch of unshaded ones that were ugly af cx i found PMC in 2019 and made an acc a few months later ^^ 2. What skin editor do you use and why? I use pmcskin3D! I rlly like all the different features, mostly the palette feature which saves me a lot of time, since I mostly premake my palettes ^^ 3. What was the biggest thing that helped you improve? Getting better at shading and palettes! i watched a lot of youtube tutorials (some made by elfie_) which helped a lot w/ my shading, and i started rlly trying harder to make my palettes look smoother and include warmer colors! 4. How long on average does it take for you to complete a skin? It takes me about 2 hrs on average to make a skin, but sometimes it does take longer depending on how complex it is 5. What is your favourite colour to shade? Brown! my fav colors are actually purple and blue, but brown is my fav color to work with in skinning <3 red and orange are also fun to do ^^ 6. How do you start a new skin? Usually, I just open up pmcskin3D and start working on the hair/head part of the skin first. then I start working on the clothes and add in the skin tone last 7. What is your favorite skin you have made? Def this one or this one! I'm v proud of the shading and colors on both <3 8. Which PMC Skinners inspire you/you like a lot? Oh man, that one's hard! a lot of ppl inspire me w/ making skins so i'll just choose a few who do the most (no particular order!) my current style is inspired by anxii, bums, Angel, and Mellie! they all make fantastic skins, you should go look at them and show some support! Felll and Kawaii also used to be big inspirations of mine ^^ 9. How do you get inspiration for your skins? Mostly by looking at other ppl's skins for ideas, but a lot of my ideas come from pinterest or tumblr as well! 10. What keeps you motivated? I usually just make skins when i want to, but sometimes I get burned out anyway bc I have a lot of other stuff on my plate irl like working full time ;; I try to only make skins for stuff I'm actually interested in (events & contests I mean) so I'm not spreading myself too thin on the site 11. What do you find hard about skinning? Finding motivation! making palettes has also been hard for me for some reason, but I've been trying hard to improve them so my skins will look better over time (I hope lol) 12. How did you find PMC? I found PMC when I was looking for an editor to use for making skins <3

Astral Medieval by LogMaiden An event for skinners and artists with a vague theme of medieval + cosmic outer space. There are 4 colorful palettes to choose from, which are based on photos of nebulas and planets of our solar system! Deadline is July 31st!

Creative Skinner's	We are are family-friendly small skinning group, and, our goals are to grow into a little community. This Group is meant for any type of skinner, to have fun, and share their work! And, to see what we can become, we're happy to have any type of skinner here, whether you're a person who started skinning a little while ago, or you're an advanced skinner, we're happy to have you here! And we hope to get a good amount of followers, and it'll be good to see people are interested in skinning, and using their imagination to create master pieces, we just wanna be a friendly little skinning Group, for any type of skinner! :)
