Hello!
We are a group all about making skins. Whether you are a beginner or an expert this is the group for you.

The goal of the group:
To become better at skinning and help others improve.

What do you do in this group?

Rules:
🎨 Follow the PMC rules
🎨 No swearing
🎨 Use constructive criticism when giving advice on a skin.
🎨 No advertising yourself in this group (you can advertise your skins though but don't advertise a skin more than once).
🎨 Be respectful to everyone
🎨 Off topic things are permitted just keep it to a minimum.
🎨 On this group each can post 2 skins per week. The skins must uphold to the PMC rules. We also want to encourage members to do collabs with other members.

Hello Members of this group and non-members,

Are you ready to be one of the first people to be a part of an amazing team that puts out a skinning newsletter?

Some time ago I mentioned maybe doing a newsletter. Some people seemed interested. The newsletter will be skinning themed. And I was hoping to put one out once a week. I thought it would be better to have a team of people to work together to make it. Non-group members are welcome to be a part of it as well!

The possible positions:

🟪 Newsletter Head (Keeps everything on track and organizes it. Also posts the newsletter and has it as an editable draft before.)

🟪 Newsletter Collector (Collects all the trending skins and adds them to the newsletter, also adds the featured skin. The featured skin would be chosen randomly from a list of submitted skins. You could make a form (like this one) where they would be submitted.)

🟪 Newsletter Contest Collector (Keeps track of all contests going on and adds a table of them to the newsletter. The featured contest would be just like the featured skin. The banner and a short paragraph would also be need there. That could be collected with a form (like this one) as well.)

🟪 Newsletter Writer (Writes the articles, anyone could do it. The articles can be about anything skinning related. No off topic articles unless approved by SouthDakotaGirl and the Newsletter Head)

Results to the applications will be decided next Saturday. And the first issue will probably be the Saturday after that.

Here's some aspects that will be in the newsletter:
🟪 The trending skins from each category for the week.
🟪 All the skinning event/contest in table that would be updated every week.
🟪 Skinner of the week. We would find a skinner and interview them.
🟪 Featured skinning events and skins. You could submit one of your skins or a event to have it feature in the newsletter.
🟪 Group activities. It will include what this group and maybe what other skinning groups have been up to that week.
🟪 Hopefully an article written by a skinner each week. Could be anything skinning related.

More about submitting skins and events to be featured will be decided once the newsletter team is together. Same with having articles by skinners.

  Heyo! I see that everything is kinda quiet in here, so I had an idea... Let's have a contest to see who can make the best use of the primary colors! Pick yellow, blue, or red, then make a skin using only shades and tones of that color! May the best skinner win! Please note that is just for fun and is not mandatory, but I can't wait to see what you guys come up with! XD

  Idk if this does something but I came up with my own little trick that to me it looks good for shading, when I want to try to have multiple shades and can't find or I'm too lazy to find the right shade through hue-shifting, I use opacity in both colors. What I mean is that if I have green I would just go for the darkest hue-shift color of green and then decrease the opacity to the brightest area, sometimes I do the opposite, so is like the brightest green (base color that I'm using, not brightest) with 75% opacity until reaching lowest, I play around with it to see how good it looks and I go with it, most of my skins are like that.

We need more people working on this.

Hello Shady Skinners,

So I was thinking what skin we should do together and it hit me. We should make fan skins of Cyprezz and PMC. It's something simple and something we all know about.

How to participate:
You will pick a part and edit your name next to it. You pick one part from either the PMC or the Cyprezz skin. You work on it and when it is finished add it on this description next to the part you did.

I suggest looking at pictures and concept images of robots when working on your part of the Cyprezz skin.

if your having trouble picking just know that the body is probably the hardest.

Remember you don't have to make your part exactly like their characters. Take some creative liberties. Come up with some ideas or designs and have fun with it. The goal is to make two skins that have a mosaic of different styles, ideas and colors.

If you need some one on one help just PM me I'm willing to help you through designing your part, shading and making it in look the way you want it.

Deadline: February 10th (now extended to march)

This is the deadline for each of your parts.

It's a 64x64 skin. Do them both as Steve format (as it's easier to convert to Alex if need be).


Also I (South) will be the one to edit the skin parts together. and you have been given permission to edit this widget. Please only edit it for what I have said.
