Well Herobrine might be in the game (maybe atleast in the files) but entity 303 well... that's definitely a hoax
1
FAAAAKE totally fake. Herobrine is definitely a hoax, unless you download a mod with him, I guess....

they are as real as spiderman

I mean a lot of people will tell you that it's a hoax, but I personally believe some of the rumors hold water. I mean, think about it. Constant denial is indicative only of a cover-up, usually something of a far more horrible nature. I'm not trying to say that these sorts of things are 100 percent real, but by and large it's been quite prevalent in history. Just ask my cousin--she's an evolutionary psychologist.

They are most likely hoaxes.
And just a tip for all of you who are reading this...
DON'T believe EVERYTHING YOU READ ONLINE WITHOUT VERIFYING THE SOURCES

Or don’t listen to him, don’t listen to anyone in the comments, don’t even listen to me XD

Before anyone actual says I’m wrong I’m going to point something out... In fortnite some files are not part of the game and are only added when in use meaning the same thing could happen in mc. Herobrine was found by a player that had a very slow computer and it’s mostly true, the reason we think it’s fake is because someone retextured a door to the skin. Recently I’ve heard of a New mc ‘Devil’ named ‘Salias’ or whatever. The reason hoax’s happen is because people want to seem popular on the fact of a myth. In 1.9 Mojang created a mode called Herobrine suggesting they were having a joke. The most likely way of herobrine existing is by looking at the old update log threads on mojang.com as they insert ‘Removed Herobrine’ either truth or a joke

fortnite is bad don't bring that in here. This is Minecraft website!

Your statement is bad! I was comparing

nah. they're fake.
can be real with the use of mods, though.

But....maybe someday......THEY'LL BE REAL! MUWAHAHAHAAAA!!!!

In all honesty, I agree with what Devi The Panda said.
Strange things that I couldn't explain have happened so many times whilst I'm in single-player worlds. But never once have I seen any of the "Minecraft creepypastas".
I've seen weird things, glitched mobs, and some odd placements of blocks on normally spawned worlds (no add-ons, mods, resource-packs - No seeds, world modifications, etc..).
It's creepy, and I do believe in them for the fun of it, just to joke about them.
But seriously, they're fake and it's been proven by the game creators themselves.

its clickbait

Don't worry, none of those stories/ sightings are real. They are either edited by the person who made the sighting, acted out, or by the use of mods. They are just stories on the internet made to scare people, so there is no need to worry.
But, there IS in fact a mod out there that puts herobrine into your game.

Also are the in mods that do not put them in like pixelmon? i am playing in a survival world in that

Herobrine is real, and I have proof:
See? Proof :)
Of course I may have had something to do with this, something like a datapack or such, and I suppose I have to admit that he looks like a zombie wearing a player head, but that's just details :)

Do you really think you can fool us...

FAKE

LOL!

I wouldn't try to spawn this even if it was real.
Last I checked it's way worse than the wither boss and will kill players who are near it.
At least the wither is killable if you got the right equipment, potions, armour and bow and sword with smite enchantment. Herobrine appears to be invincible. If it's not part of the real game, then it's clearly mod related.

Okay so, I'd say Entity 303 is fake however I've seen random player names just far enough out of sight to vaguely see the name and than when I go back to look it's gone. Herobrine is indeed fake quoted multiple times throughout the years by mojang and notch themselves.
but I do believe strange happenings do occur.

Of course they're fake.
Of course they are....right?...
But occasionally, when you look at the console on your server whilst you're configuring a plugin- you see a UUID that isn't real.
Or you'll see it glitch, just occasionally.
Or you're writing code in Denizen, and it will spawn an NPC that it couldn't have done.
Or a player will vanish, never to be seen again.
You're playing your server and you'll see, just out the corner of the screen - whats that? a creeper? A zombie? Another player?
You spin and it's gone.
Heard of ghosts in the machine?

They're just stories, but you can make them real with certain mods/commands.

No.
Minecraft is of course written in a programming language. Luckily, in terms of "decomposition" (reverse engineering the code), Minecraft was written in Java.
This is good for us programmers because it makes it easy to see all of the code that makes up Minecraft.
Entities such as Herobrine physically *cant* exist to the complexity explained without a serious amount of code, that just isn't present.
So to answer the question, no. They aren't real.

nope, not real, just stories!

why did this get so many emeralds lmao

As cool as these stories are, the unfortunate reality is that they're false.
Herobrine started as a forum post by an early player of the game. They reported seeing a Steve-like skin with bright white eyes far in their render distance. Though this may sound convincing, Herobrine has never existed.
Entity 303 is a more recent myth. Sadly, this is also a hoax. I know less about Entity 303, but what I can assume is it was created so the creator could have fame.

They're about as fake as a campfire story, just made to scare players a bit for fun.

I haven't seen proof of Herobrine
at least not in any current version of Minecraft I've seen.
It turns out Herobrine was just a rumour.
