I also discovered "C" is the hotkey for the camera zoom feature. I have been playing for years without it, there isn't a ton of obvious utility for most players but it's very helpful when taking screenshots.

I learned a few simple cheats. I have to open my survival world to LAN, and turn "allow cheats" on first, then I can change the time, weather, etc. I just started going into spectator mode a bit because I don't have an Elytra and I wanted to work on some pixelart. I gave myself some sponges and a turtle helmet because I wouldn't spend the time it takes to get 5 scutes. The sponges I haven't used yet.

I also just learned how to render an image using Mineways and Blender. Pretty cool stuff, but Blender in particular has a lot of features I don't understand and is hard to use as a beginner.

This is going to be funny, but I rarely use boats; so when I made a boat in the current version, my mind was blown that there where different types of boats depending on the wood used. A runner up would be that you can get fish in a bucket know, which I find both funny and adorable " ahhh, I got a lil' salmon swimming in a bucket "

I learnt that when transferring a world from java 1.12.2 to 360 then uploading to XboxEd, if a shulker box is not placed in your inventory or inside of a container such as a chest or dispenser it doesn't seem to retain its contents.

Ignoring recent changes to the game code,

Snow layers produce only one snowball for each layer after the first ie 1 + #layers. [Not sure how this escaped me, but I'd long been under the impression that it was a straight 2/layer :facepalm: ]

Well, to be honest, the interesting things I learned in Minecraft recently is:

1) You can dye signs by right clicking signs with the held dye

2) That minecraft was initially going to be a strategy game called 'Rubydung', looking something like this:



3)If a mooshroom is struck by lightning, it will turn into a brown variant of a mooshroom (not to be confused with a normal cow), and when you feed the brown mooshroom a specific flower and right click it when holding a bowl, it will give you a suspicious stew depending on the flower type




4) You can spam click without a mouse by just holding down a key by changing the interact / place block button or attack / destroy block button to a key on your keyboard. For example, if I made my place block button (right click) to the key 'Y' and hold it down in game, it will spam it, requiring no effort. You can do the same by opening and closing your inventory by holding E
