I like the version with eyes, but why are the eyes different colors?

To be honest, I like 4 pixels. It feels more natural, it just looks better in general. Although! 2 pixels look really good on certain skins like cartoony types.

I usually end up using 2x2 eyes with eyebrows. 1x2 eyes are pretty cute but they're not entirely my style. I like the 2x2 eyes because it gives them a little more life if they're shaded right imo. By no means am I saying that 1x2 eyes are bad, though. 1x2 eyes definitely have their uses. I just prefer 2x2.

I like the 2 pixel eyes if it meshes with the skin. It can make for a really cool Don't Starve/Tim Burton kinda style.

its all about "minecraft eyes" versus "realistic eyes", though in this case the "realistic" ones are more like "anime eyes".

that's all I have to say on it.

for each eye style the rest of the face needs to fit

in that case the 2 pixel one could be anything, including a donkey head, a restaurant menu in front of a window looking at the horizon past sunset, or a backpack
nothing makes it clearly a human face

the 4+ pixel one on the other hand clearly is a human face

with the head Happs uses the 2 pixel eyes work best, as they are clearly eyes of a face in the same style, and anything more complex would look out of place

i like my skin to have decent eyes I like the 2x2 ones, i prefer seeing ones with more define facial features, (but then again says the guy whose skin has no mouth or nose)

The eye style I prefer on my skins isn't either of those. (: I like the realistic eye style the best.

I prefer the normal 4-pixel eyes. The reason it's overused is because quite a lot of people prefer them over the other kind, in my opinion.

I think it's about personal preference. Since my main skin is using the 2 pixel eyes and my art style is similar to that, I'd go with that but I'm sure many others love the 4 pixel eye just as much.

2 Pixels, because the other is kinda over used by... Everyone. Let's just put it that way.
(And the 2 pixels looks way more fun x3 )

Ironic, since the 2 pixel eyes are used one almost all of the skins you see on the pop-reel now adays, not to mention the teen skins.

In my opinion 2 Pixel eyes work well on Cartoon / Derpy / Weird skins.
I prefer 'proper' eyes on my skins

+1 from me too. 2 pixel black eyes look somehow cute, but when you use them, you have to change the style of the rest of the skin, otherwise it will look weird
