This week we launched our official community event, Winterfest! Celebrate the season with us by submitting up to FIVE winter or holiday-related submissions! If you have any questions, visit the event thread!

Penguins, decorated Christmas trees, bundled up skins, wintry terrain are just a few examples of what's accepted in this event! We can't wait to see what you create!

The palette contest features blues and pinks! Campestral and Romto_ have teamed up together to bring you this contest with some pretty sweet prizes. First place prize receives a $25 Steam Credit, Second place a $10 Steam credit, and top three skins receive trophies! Standard resolution skins only, no HD skins will be accepted.

First, we'd like to comment on how amazing Nitgo's pixel-art banners and trophies always are!

This is their new themed contest, Evil Glow. IN this contest your goal is to create something creepy, evil and glowish. You're allowed to use any colors you want, but your character must be creepy. Standard resolution skins, no HD Skins allowed.

You can see the trophies up for grabs to your right!

Skinmas! Skinmas is December's take on Skintober. They're similar in that, you're given a theme every day and your goal is to create a skin based on the theme!

This isn't a contest, more of a fun event to get into the Christmas spirit! So there's no sign-ups, or anything you need to do in order to partake. Just make skins following the prompts every day for 12 days!

Some members are starting on December 13th, and making a skin for 12 days leading up to Christmas. You can start whenever you want to, however!

TRIPPY GLITCH
No, your eyes are not playing tricks on you. What you see here is Just some interference - a glitch if you will. In this rather unique blog submission by Gheppio, you'll find several more of what you see to your right. But what exactly are these?

In addition to changing the environment to constant snow, your healing is also slower to one heart every 2 minutes. It also gives you mining fatigue when you're under y"30 and all monsters damage increase. You need to make flint tools to gather wood and stone instead of punching trees... and crops grow slower because of the frozen soil.

Many more changes that make Minecraft much more difficult. are you up for the challenge?
