  Zombies are often shown as ravenous, mindless undead seeking for brains. Originating from Haitian folklore, now many sci-fi and fantasy universes (including our beloved Minecraft) has their own version of an undead human. There are also many stories about zombie apocalypses, involving a virus of some sort, but did you know that zombies are real? Well, not in the way one would expect; fear those things only if you are an insect. There is a family of fungi named Cordycipitaceae, which are parasitic, mind-controlling mushrooms which use insects to spread themselves. Luckily, humans don't need to worry that The Last of Us-like scenario will happen.
  
  I'm sure no one really likes zombies. With few exceptions, where zombies are sapient, these undead freaks are hated and feared. I got here a very weird game with talking zombies - not PvZ, everyone knows this franchise. I meant Zombie Catchers. I won't explain the plot, go check it yourself... It's very weird, maybe I should take an break...?

  Creature Thursdays!
  
  Every Thursday, we are going to discuss about one fantasy creature. Participation is optional, although I would be very happy if you wanted to contribute.
  
  This week's creature... Dragon!

  Dragons are legendary reptiles, which in most cases are known for their gigantic size, never-ending wisdom, ability to fly and to breathe fire. In the West, dragons are often depicted as giant, fire-breathing lizards with wings, which hoard treasures and are symbols of evil. Meanwhile in East, they are large serpentine creatures with manes and deer antlers, being a symbol of luck. There are multiple alternate depictions of what one call a dragon, such as hydras (western dragons with multiple heads), drakes (western dragons without wings), amphipteres (serpents with wings), leviathans (sea serpents), and many more.
  
  What do you think about them? Are they worthy of respect, or they are vile beasts that don't deserve a second of existence in your fantasy works?
  
  Lastly, I found a well made game called Flappy Dragon. Remember Flappy Bird? This is the new, better version with dragons! Discover beautiful worlds while devouring royals and collecting many treasures, such as treasure chests, dragon eggs, and... donuts? At the moment I write this, there are 190 uniqque dragons to collect, each has an unique buff or skill. Tap, hold or follow your way to becoming the ultimate flappy master!   The devs didn't have enough imagination to come up with another boss. "Let's add a dragon, it's fashionable to kill them, they're bad.🤓🤪" Dumb S idiots... There are three-meter-long screaming humanoid dudes with long legs and long arms and can tp, make the boss look like them, WHYY tf did they add a reptile dragon?!?!?
  
  I agree dragons are powerful but again what do we have in the game? A helpless object for beating and humiliation with a completely stupid AI !!!
  All of this just makes me incredibly angry and infuriated!😡

  it depends on the work in my opinion. there are some portrayals of dragons as good, some as bad. all fantasy works are separate and can choose to portray them in any way they like

  Not only fire. Dragons Are basically superior representatives of any element they're assigned to. I never understood why all those knights kill dragons that mind their own business. My theory is that the "evil" dragons (who are spraying chaos and anarchy whenever they go) in legends are dragon criminals - snatching few sheep from time to time isn't bad, but burning a whole village for no reason sure is a crime. Jean the Ender Dragon never did anything, we are the bad guys there. Assuming MCD takes place after vanilla Minecraft, the whole dimension avenges the dragon, thus proving how powerful these creatures are. And no, I won't block you. In fact, I always was in awe how good your dragons are :)

  Ya know I've always loved character design but I never come up with a back story for them. It's never really interested me. I think I more like visual story telling where the items they have with them tells their story.
