There's something I've been wondering for a while now; how would you guys feel if I tried starting a Dungeon-Crawler-Type Forum as a roleplay on here that ties into the Kingdom lore? It's just something that's been on my mind for a hot minute and I was curious if this was something you guys were interested in. I still don't know if this is something I even have time to work on or develop (or learn how dungeon-crawlers work). It was just a cool idea that I thought I might throw at you guys.

It’s a kind of game set in a dungeon or cave of some kind where you need to fight, solve puzzles, and get loot. Think of the dungeons in Zelda or Dungeons and Dragons.

A messager fox arrives at the palace gates holding a note in it's mouth it waits for the door to be opened. Once the door is opened the fox walks inside and hands the letter to the princess's.
The note says:

I propose that the group host two jams, to deepen the lore and story.

The first jam would be a skin contest, consisting of 16x skins only (reason: Java compatibility on the server when that becomes a thing). These skins would represent the uploader's roleplay character. Winners would receive trophies made by myself, as well as other prizes to be determined for the top 3.

The second jam would be a lore contest, with prizes similar to the skin contest. Participants would write stories of events in the kingdom (with a minimum word count), preferably involving their character. These stories would then be eligible for canonization by TheMountaineer.

I imagine that this idea will be well-received, so the main question would be timing. When should these jams be started, when should they end, and how should their windows relate to one another?

I have decided to not actually finish the blog I was talking about that would've explained the Hermit's past. I'll give a brief and simple summary as to what it detailed, and an explanation as to why.

I'll start with the explanation: It was a foolish and gross thing to write and read.
The history of the Hermit was not at all meant to be glamorous, or cool, or heroic, or at all admirable. The Hermit is not meant to be admired. I put myself into a state of mind of pure vulgarity and rage for the sake of this blog, and it was messing up the way I viewed the world. I wanted spectacle, and claimed I was trying to give a philosophical criticism of extremism and vigilantes as a whole. Ironically, much like the message I was so desperately trying to preach, the means overshadowed the ends. I filled his history with sexual abuse, rage, murder, despair, and whatever else I might be forgetting. I was trying so desperately to make a pitiful and disgusting character that was an allegory that I forgot the actual fiber to such things. Good characters don't just have bad pasts; they're strong enough to overcome them. The Hermit succumbed to his, and that is not a character worth seeing. In the role-play, I tried to depict him as pitiful but accidentally made him a heroic character. This was not my initial goal, and to set up his origin the way I was going to would've been a terrible mistake.

Now, the actual history of the Hermit:
I am going to try to be brief, as most of the contents would've been anecdotes and hijinks that only highlighted either his misguided virtue or his total corruption. I may not succeed in this, but I will try my best.
- The Hermit only remembers the name "Ganam," which he gained from a close comrade of his. He was drafted into a war at the age of eight, and went on to murder his general in his twenties, alongside his squad (though he was the ringleader of the murder). He murdered his general because of a rule regarding women and children from the enemy's side ("do not enslave or hurt bystanders or children; they are not involved in this war"), which the general defied. In doing so, the general encouraged the rest of the army to violate and abuse the women and children which had been captured. Burning with rage, Ganam organized a coup to murder the general and set the rest of the army's camp on fire. Among his comrades whom helped in the massacre, a pale and fat man they called "Plutyr" watched as the Hermit plunged a nail through the general's head. The coup disbanded and ran to wherever they might be safe.
- Now a traitor, Ganam ran into the desert as a nomad, committing more murder to perceived wrong-doers as his conscience deteriorated. He was good to those he dubbed innocent (slaves, children, ordinary citizens), but was horrifically violent and gruesome to perceived sinners (slave-drivers, liars, scammers, abusers, etc.). ((This period of his life was full of hijinks and horrific depictions that I've mentioned before)).
- When he was a very old man, by pure coincidence, Ganam encountered his squad all gathered around a broken object in the desert. The group saw that the item was golden, and started fighting for its possession. As they each drew blades tokill one another, they all blacked out. They all heard a voice saying "Be ye so committed to violence, ye shall sow it for eternity. Till all but one are dead, ye shall wander this cursed earth forever. The one whom remains shall choose how much longer he shall endure this earth." Ganam awoke in the middle of a field, far from the desert he originally was, holding a strange dagger and with a sudden awareness of what had happened: him and each of his comrades were made immortal by the object (as to how remained a mystery), only able to die by the kind of blade he held in his hand, and that each were given the same one. The last one of them left would choose how much longer they lived; the one who lived could live forever, without fail. With this inexplicable knowledge, he ran into the wilderness for fear that they would try to kill him.
- Eventually, he found the Kingdom, and decided to live in the woods nearby. He continued his descent into isolation and madness as he murdered the traffickers and criminals that resided in the Kingdom's underbelly, only being sane around dogs (as I'm sure everyone is around such precious creatures).
- At some point, he saw his old comrade Plutyr enter the Kingdom for the sake of the Ball. Ganam was afraid, for he knew Plutyr as a sadistic and violent man, killing with laughter and indiscriminately. For fear of his life, he went to the ball with the Knife he awoke with, plotting to kill Plutyr on sight. However, the fat man found him first and decided to have a drink with him instead, explaining that he had already killed all of the other soldiers and was just wanting to talk with Ganam (before killing him, that is). This was the man's downfall, as he did not realize the rage and hatred that Ganam had harbored for him. In a moment of laughter at the possibility of being killed, Ganam slit Plutyr's throat. Shocked at this, Plutyr's pulled out his own knife and stabbed Ganam's hands, pinning him to the table. However, the cuts in his throat were too deep, and Plutyr died within seconds.
- Having torn apart his own hands to escape, Ganam escaped and wandered the woods aimlessly, eventually finding cloudkitty. There, he admitted his guilt before passing out from exhaustion. He somehow knew that, unless he was killed, he would live for seven more years. However, CloudKitty's character brought him to court, where he was sentenced for execution within three days after confessing to murdering a large number of the criminal population of the Kingdom. Hoping to prevent a case like himself from ever occurring again, he spent his three days living by writing everything that had ever happened to him in his memory. On the third day, he was decapitated and died.

Yes. He was sentenced to execution for the murder of 473 citizens of the Kingdom. They were the scum of the earth, albeit, but murder was still what he had done and he needed to pay for it.
