Go past low expectations and become who you were made to be.
  • “all effort—even failed effort—produces muscle.” -Alex Harris

Did you know that less than one hundred years ago, the word 'Teenager' didn't exist? Yeah, I know right!

Over the past hundred years things have changed a lot. I mean a ton. Expectations for Teens have changed. Before teens could do so many things. You could help lead a boat when you were twelve! There were only two categories Children and Adults. No in between. You could do so many big things back then and you were encouraged to do so! Expectations were high, then BOOM!! They dropped.

Now days many adults think down on teenagers. They see them as crazy partying people that are wasteful. Expectations were dropped and we went down to meet them. Really it isn't out fault, since we weren't here 70 some years ago. Its just been like this since then, we had no idea.

I had no idea till I read 'Do hard things' By Alex and Brett Harris. (I suggest you check it out, its really good!) (They're the ones that started the Rebelution which this group is founded upon!)

Do you want to go past these low expectations set before us? Do you want to live your teen years not looking back when your an adult feeling as though they were wasted? Do you want to do hard things? If so you've came to the right place!

This is a group where you are encouraged to do hard things. A group where we won't shelter you we'll help push you out of the wall of your comfort zone that holds you captive. We'll be beside you as your grow in who you are suppose to be.

The only way you can change is if you really want to, which just takes a few steps out of your comfort zone than a few more, just a few little steps can change a lot!

“It’s about an idea. It’s about rebelling against low expectations. It’s about a movement that is changing the attitudes and
actions of teens around the world. And we want you to be part of it.” -Alex Harris

Are you ready? Are you ready to take a step out and change the world?
  • 'Sometimes stepping out of your comfort zone is hard, but until you do you can never say that you had truly lived' -Mo

    .
“The teen years are not a vacation from responsibility,” we had told the columnist. “They are the training ground of future leaders who dare to be responsible” -Alex Harris

“Don’t let anyone look down on you because you are young, but set an example for the believers in speech, in life, in love, in faith and in purity”
    -Alex Harris (NIV)

Isn’t that exactly what has happened? Entire industries—movie, music, fashion, fast food—and countless online services revolve around the consumer habits of, you guessed it, teens. With all this money and attention focused on teens, the teen years are viewed as some sort of vacation. - Alex Harris

    Questions

    Wall poster Regulations
Keep what your writing focused on the heart of the group idea, don't be rude or complain about someone, And if you have any questions PM or guest book me. (Don't swear)

Is this group only for teens? (AKA Young adults)
No, although this group is mainly focused on teens (Age 13+ to 18) If your an adult we'd still very much so love you have you! :D

How do I request to join?
Just make a guest book post in the guest book including the words 'I want to do hard things' I only want people in this group if they actually want to do hard things. If your too scared to its fine lol, a follow would still be much appreciated!

Does this group have any events or whatnot?
Yes, there will maybe! I have a ton of stuff planned out so just wait 'an see. :)

Are there any things you can recommend to help me do hard things?
I'd suggest to read the 'Do Hard things' and 'Start here' by Alex and Brett Harris. If your not a book person, than I suggest you listen to their podcast. 'Do hard things'

    What are hard things exactly?
Hard things are just like the words. There are two types of hard things. Small hard things and big hard things. Small hard things are some of the hardest hard things, they're things like taking out the trash when your asked to, doing the dishes, cleaning your room, doing the lawn, doing your best at school. These things are small, but they're so important to form the character of who you are. :)

This is a really good verse V

    Luke 16:10-14
He who is faithful in what is least is faithful also in much; and he who is unjust in that is least is unjust also in much. Therefore if you have not been faithful in the unrighteous mammon, who will commit to your trust the true riches? And if you have not been faithful in what is another man's, who will give to you what is your own?

    Profile banner
The profile banner is symbolizing a comfort zone. The girl standing looking over the fence is stuck in her comfort zone watching others running around outside thriving, doing things you can't do in your comfort zone. :)
In your comfort zone your stuck from being who you were meant to be and thriving. Your just stuck doing 'comfortable' things. Instead of things that may sometimes feel uncomfortable, but grow your character. Its a dangerous place to be because you can never live your life fully the way God planned for you to live. You'll miss out on so many opportunities that you could never imagine. Are you willing to risk that?

    What events are there currently?
One of the main things of this group is the 'star' challenge. It goes every month each year. By joining this group your put into the star challenge.

Each month in wallposts I'll give 3-6 (Unless I get to busy and forget x,D, than you can just go off of the last months challenges and use it for that month) (Or maybe sometimes more, but I'll start small) of hard things to try to do that month. Including things like talk to someone who appears alone, strike up a conversation with a random stranger, do something you've never done before. These are just a few of the challenges! Certain stars have more points on them than others.

And... here is the twist. By the end of the month tell me which of the things you did. (You can go into detail if you want to) You'll get a star.

Each person with stars will be added to a list on a widget and we'll see who at the end of the year has the most stars. (By the way, please don't just think about this challenge for just getting stars, its meant to encourage you and push you out of your comfort zone in order to get stars, not just for the star part :)

    2.

I will also be adding jam challenges. Throughout the year I'll have challenges centered around different things like for example, skins, blogs, etc.
I'll post more about this when each challenge is made! But, trust me your going to want to join. ;)

What do I do if I have more questions?
Just write them in the guest book or PM TheMountaineer. :)
Which I'm now gone so write it to BlueBoyBuilds.

How do I support this group?
Want to support this group? Its pretty simple. Following the group is one of the biggest things you can do to support it. Others ways would be advertise it so others can see. And if your a member with content privileges (Those will be given out at the end of this year) then make content. (I'll add an expandable spoiler below to explain what kind of content you can post around the time members are able to post!

Also I'm planning on adding a support stamp!

You can also tell people about us! Share our posts and just tag along with the community if you'd like to support us! :)
(But, honestly nothing is as fun as joining :)

This isn't just a group to just get a whole bunch of people. This is a group that I hope can change people's lives for the better. :)

Its quite evident all around that something isn’t right. Or some
      things aren’t right.

Just look around and you'll feel it.

You feel this longing in your heart for something bigger, something different. Something.. something right.

I understand your longings for something real and right. I’m sick of our generations name being dragged in the mud. I’m sick of being defined by those teens out there who are ruining and wasting their lives and adults thinking that all of us are just the same. Just people who goof off and waste their lives.

I think that needs to change and I know it can.

Its easy to sit around and think someone else is going to do something about it, so why worry, right? If everyone thought that where would we be today? We’d never have set foot on the moon, we’d never have discovered the America’s. If we never make anything personal we're never going to get where we need to be.

And if your still reading to this right now you most likely desire the same thing
(And you must have an amazing attention span too!)

If you do decide to do hard things and be different I'm not telling you that it is an easy path. It isn't for the faint of heart. So if you want to stay where you are and no make a difference do it. But, your going to miss out on a lot of fun.

      (Ranting?)

Anyways join us if you haven't already.. Okay I feel like I didn't make this sound all that appealing at the end part lol. It doesn't cost you anything.. like moneywise x,D

      Happy May 1st!

Since it's a new month that means new challenges!

These will be more of challenges to help you grow this month.

      So without further ado!

      *Online Challenges*

      1. Try limiting your time online to one hour minimum each day.

      2. Turn your notifications off for a day. Don't have your phone hanging on you.

      3. Try talking to friends more in real life then on your phone or laptop.

      *In real life Challenges*

      1. Set aside some time each day to do a workout and take care of your body even if you've never tried yet.

      2. Read books with knowledge. Read Old real stories of real people.

      3. Try something you've never tried before, but have always wanted. (I'm here with ya!)

Try these challenges out. I guarantee even one at a time can change your life incredibly! If you want any inspirational posts because they help you forward feel free to ask!

You got this! (Right now your thinking 'I don't know if I got this..' most likely) But, you do!

      Let's go! :D

Ayo! This group is not dead.

I'm hoping to maybe pop in once a month for this group. :)

If I forget sometimes it doesn't change anything. Even without posts of this group you can still do hard things. I may not be on PMC active anymore, but I am still doing hard things. Hard things. But, once you do hard things you will be so glad you did! There is absolutely nothing like the feeling when you pushed through something. Trust me. One step at a time can transform your life extremely. Just try it and you'll see for yourself! :)
