So, y'know how I'm remaking the Iron Golem's animations.... well, I have officially started going overboard. You'll be able to give it netherite armor:
yes, gonna have an angy mode. So it'll have green eyes normally, but if it sees an enemy it goes into angy mode, they eyes turn red, and the arms extend. (Yes I will officially call it "Angy mode" in the files bc why not)
I like that quote, also describes alot of the fictional worlds I'm developing. Writing is fun, and writing about things that scare you is indeed fun, and fairly easy too since it's ironically easier to think of stuff that scares you more than almost anything else. One of the short stories I wrote, "mechanical", which I'm currently revising, is, now that I think about it, mainly about that which scares me most: eternity. not the concept, or simply being alive for eternity, but being stuck alive and/or conscious for all eternity with nothing to do, being alive forever is fine if you constantly have new stuff to do, but eternity is eternity, and eventually what if your stuck forever, repeating the same actions, the same pattern, again and again and again. Doesn't matter if it's a daily pattern, or one that lasts millions of years, eventually you'll run out of new experiences, things to talk about, etc. and may end up simply repeating a never-ending cycle for all of eternity, unable to either escape the cycle or to die, doomed forever to a meaningless and predictable existence where nothing is new and everything is the same for ever and ever and ever, and even if your aware of it, your powerless to stop it.

I’ve noticed that, no matter what I’m trying to write, I keep getting drawn to make it rather horrifying. Not good horror that keeps you up at night because of what is hiding in the corners of your bedroom; just horrible, gross things that genuinely scare me. I keep writing stories about innocent people getting thrust into some nightmare that they just want to get out of. Eidolon was one of those stories, even if I never showed more than one rough draft of a chapter. I wanted Eidolon to feel like some bottomless pit that you can’t scrape your way out of. The story I’m writing right now is a manifestation of everything I fear the US becoming: a government of oblivious and disconnected politicians, a population of increasingly divided and self-isolated individuals: a society that, in trying to serve its own ideologies and fantasies, opens the doors for rampant child abuse and poverty. These things really do keep me up at night.
So I write about these things that scare me so, and try to find some sort of comfort in them.
In these stories, I try to take the shared suffering and find a connection and joy within it. A man suffering alone is stuck in Hell; two men suffering together are able to carry one another as they escape it. I’m not trying to say this is the perfect way to write; in fact, I’m blatantly awful at it. But I think the notion still stands, that stories need this balance of shaking what needs to be shaking and calming what needs to be calmed.

I be doing good, currently texturing the singular most terrifying minecraft mob to ever exist (Basically, I remembered that the warden was designed by Mojang to be avoided rather than fought, but after seeing things like this https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=r5mf3KAvixw I thought it wasn't enough of a threat, so I'm making the Soul Collector). Hope your doing good though, having you neighbor die doesn't sound very fun to go through.
